Trip to Fenton / Joiners Square 14-12-2015

Today Matthew was going in respite and we attending a Christmas party, but he was going into his day service. It was also the day that D&G were taking over the service #40 today. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. The bus turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We set off onto the A5035 and We headed along into Blurton and we turned into church Road. We carried on into Blurton Road and across the A50. We went through Heron Cross and onto Heron Street. Having crossed the railway line we turned left onto Christchurch Street and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went to the YMCA to play football. To get there they went on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We set off onto Glebedale Road and left onto City Road. At the bottom Just before the railway line we joined the Northbound A52. We went past the railway station and the University and we turned left onto Cauldon Road. We then went via Boughey Road and Ridgeway Road over the canal and we turned right to get to the YMCA. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards played football with his peers and members of staff. When it was time to go back to Fenton we called for a taxi. When it arrived it was Lucky Seven PK08 GGE.

We got into the minibus and the bus truned around and went back onto Ridgeway Road. We crossed the canal and turned left onto Boughet Road. We did this to the end and joined onto the A52. We went past the railway station and when we got by the railway line we turned left onto City Road. We climbed the hill and we turned right into Chrictchurch Street and to our destination. For dinner Matthew had Pizza followed by cake. In the afternoon Matthew went to Central Forest park on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria and we stopped at Aldi to pick up Matthew's weekly shopping. After a quick run around the supermarket, We got back on the bus and we went down Victoria Road to Joiners Square. We turned left onto the A52 and we turned right into Station Road. We turned right again onto Cauldon Road and we carried on up through Shelton and forwards onto Regent Road. We joined Lichfield Street and then went onto the anti-clockwise ring road. We came off the ring road onto Town Road and we crossed over the ring road into Townsend. We continued along the A5272 and we saw First Potteries 65003 on a #18 to Hanley. We turned into Central Forest Park and once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. Whilst we were there we saw Paul's of Stoke coach HIL 2375.

Matthew had a can of Coke and then they got back onto Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the journey back to Fenton. We went back towards Hanley on the A5272 ans we joined the clockwise ring road. We went around to Bethesda Street and we turned left. At the end of Bethesda Street we turned right onto Regent Road. We went forwards onto College Road and turned left by the railway station. We joined the A52 and then went left onto City Road. We turned right into Glebedale Road and to our destination. After a quick stop we climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU for the journey to respite. We set off onto Christchurch Street and we saw D&G 189 on the #40 service. We went through Heron Cross onto Blurton Road and forwards onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we went into Trentham, before turning right into New Inn Lane where we saw Intercity ND58 EDJ. We dropped off a service user and we continued along New Inn Lane and down Mayne street onto the A34 where we saw First Potteries 32057 on the #10 to Hanley. We Joined the Northbound A500 and we came off the low level road as we entered Stoke. We continued parallel to the main road before turning right onto Stoke Road. We went up to Cauldon Road and we turned right and we went part way around Hanley Park before joining the A52. We went through Joiners Square and up to Limekiln Bank before following the A52 around to the right. In Bucknall we turned Right onto Dividy Road and we continued up to Bentilee and to the respite centre. Matthew went upstairs so that he could watch the buses come and go. One such bus was Meadows minibus DK65 XSW.

We also saw Z Carz S973 OVP. For tea Matthew had chips followed by pink blancmange with cream and chocolate sprinkles. After tea Matthew was going to his day service Christmas party. He put on some smart jeans and a shirt and jacket and he went in car. We set off onto Dividy Road and we followed it around onto the A52. At Limekiln bank we followed the A52 around to the left and we continued until we got to the community centre. At the community centre we saw Shelton Care Group DN60 UKL.

This was followed by another minibus, Shelton Care Group BU05 EWX.

At the party Matthew went to the toilet and had a drink of Coke. He also ate some sausages and chocolate cake. He spent the night partying with service users and staff alike and had a really good time. Matthew said goodbye to his friends and we left some time after 21:00. We got back into car for the journey back to respite. We got onto the A52 and we followed the road around Limekiln and towards Bucknall. We turned right onto Dividy Road and back to respite. Matthew chilled out in the lounge and watch some television before going to bed around 23:40... Mark

Today Matthew was going to Shrewsbury. but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00. but not before he had been out with his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and blackcurrant juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX

We set off onto the A5035 and we headed into Trentham. We turned into New Inn Lane and then into Pacific Drive. Once we had picked up another service user we headed back onto New Inn Lane and the A5035. We headed along into Blurton and we turned into church Road. We carried on into Blurton Road and across the A50. We went through Heron Cross and onto Heron Street. Having crossed the railway line we carried on onto we turned left onto Christchurch Street before reaching our destination. morning Matthew went into the sensory and spent time using a computer all had used the exercise equipment. For dinner Matthew had pasta with tomato sauce followed by a Manchester Tart. In the afternoon we went to Central Forest Park for a walk. We went in Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. we set off onto Glebedale Road and then left onto City Road. We travelled down into Stoke and we turned right onto the A500. We went South to the A500 and we came off at Longport. As we traveled up to Trubshaw Cross we saw Roseville NA56 MWD at Texaco. At the roundabout we turned left and then turned into Westport Lake. At the lake we got out and went feed the ducks. Matthew also went to the visitor centre and used the toilet. When it was time to go everybody Coming back home we went on a tour of Stoke-on-Trent. We set off towards Trubshaw Cross and we went left up to Burslem, where we saw an unidentified ABC Supreme minibus and First Potteries 32054 on a #3 to Keele. We continued up Moorland Road to Smallthorne and we turned right to Sneyd Green. On the A5272 We travelled bacnk up the the A5272. We followed the road around to the left and at the entrance we went into the park. Whilst at the park we had a long walk and looked the the ducks as well as stopping at the cafe for a can of Coke. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses were First Potteries 41502 on a #8, saw D&G 171 on a #9 to Biddulph. and Stanton's of Stoke GN57 MFZ. Central Forest Park

When it was time to go we got back aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We travelled towards Birches Head along the A5272 and then turned down Keelings Road through Northwood and onto Limekiln Bank. At the bottom of Limekiln bank we saw A1 Embassy minibus PE07 YNJ.

we turned right onto the A52. We did the A52 to Joiners Square before turning left onto the Victoria Road. We went to the top of Victoria Road and turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned into Glebedale Road and we stopped briefly at the day centre before continuing home. The bus went towards Heron Cross via Heron Street and through Blurton along Blurton Road. The bus turned into Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 15:00. Matthew had some toast and a drink of cherryade before We set of onto the A5035 and we turned left onto Stanley Matthews Way. We joined the A50 We carried on own to the A500 which we did North to the A53 We got onto the A53 and we ran over the A500 into Etruria. We traveled through Cobridge and we turned left onto Sandbach Road and we climbed the hill to Smallthorne, In Smallthorne we went down vis Coseley Street and Croft Couurt. At the bottom of Ford Green Road we saw First Potteries 41495 going up the hill We returned uo to High Lane via Chetwynd Street, Brownley Road and Jupiter Street and we saw First Potteries 65033 on a 98 to Ball Green. We ran along the A5272 through Sneyd Green and we saw First Potteries 65041 on a #7B to Biddulph. We ran to Townsend and then we went on Town Road to the ring road. We ran around town to Lichfield Street and we went down the hill to Joiners Square. We ran up Victoria Road and we stopped at MacDonalds to pick up Matthew's food and we saw First Potteries 63099 on a #6 to Hanley. After we picked up the Food we ran up Victoria Road and we turned right onto the A50 link road. We ran to Heron Cross and we turned left onto Blurton Road We ran through Blurton along Blurton Road and we veered right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfied Drive. We got home around 19:30. Matthew ate his MacDonalds and later on ate a choc ice. Matthew then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Today Matthew was going to get a new bus pass, but not before he had been out with his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and blackcurrant juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

we got on the bus and the bus set off onto the A5035. We went over the railway line into Trentham before turning at New Inn Lane. We turned into Pacific Drive and we picked up another service user before going back onto New Inn Lane. We returned along A5035 before turning left into Church Toad and forwards onto Blurton Road to Heron Cross. We turned right to go through the traffic lights and onto Heron Street. After crossing over the railway we turned left onto Christchurch Street before reaching our destination. In the morning Matthew went into the sensory and spent time using a computer all had used the exercise equipment. For dinner Matthew had pasta with tomato sauce followed by a Manchester Tart. In the afternoon we went to Central Forest Park for a walk. We went in Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and left onto City Road. At the A52 we went towards the railway station. We continued past the railway station and onto Stoke Road. We went up to Snow Hill and we stopped briefly at the other day centre site before continuing up Snow Hill and onto Broad Street. We turned left onto Marsh Street and forwards onto York Street before joining the ring road where we saw Stantons of Stoke GN57 MFZ. We joined Town Road and crossed over the ring road and headed towards Birches Head. We followed the road around to the left and at the entrance we went into the park. Whilst at the park we had a long walk and looked the the ducks as well as stopping at the cafe for a can of Coke. When it was time to go we got back aboard Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. The bus turned into Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 15:00. Matthew had some toast and a drink of Irn Bru. Matthew needed his bus pass renewing so we drove down to the One Stop Shop in Stoke to get this done. We set of onto the A5035 and we turned left onto Stanley Matthews Way. We joined the A50 and we saw Woods tri-axle coach YS14 LHY heading East back towards Leicester. We followed the left hand lane around past the incinerator and we crossed the A500 and joined onto Campbell Road. In Stoke we joined the one way system and we parked in the car park behind the One Stop Shop on South Wolfe Street. Matthew said hello to a lady using the payment machine and then we got his bus pass sorted in less than 10 minutes. He used the toilet and then we decided to catch a bus home whilst mum drove the car back. We walked onto Church Street and onto Glebe Street where we saw First Potteries Solo 53122 being loaded onto the back of a low loader after a breakdown.

We stood at the stop for around 5 minutes and then we saw a Solo approaching. It was dud First Potteries 53209 on a #23 service to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Ladybank Grove before sitting down at the back of the bus. This was a bus that we have previously been on back in April 2013 from Blurton to Hanley. The bus set off onto Church Street and across the A500. We joined City Road and we went up to Christchurch Street and turned right into it. At the end of Christchurch Street we turned right onto Station Bridge Road. We went forwards onto Heron Street and we went through heron Cross and over the A50 onto Blurton Road. We passed First Potteries 41502 and we continued into Blurton and forwards onto Church Road. We turned into Beaconsfield Drive and at the end we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 53209 as it carried on towards Newstead.

We walked home getting back at the same time as mum got back in the car. Later in the evening we went to MacDonalds in Trent Vale. We set off onto the A5035 and we passed taxi minibus SE05 JHK in the layby opposite Crowcrofts Road. We continued into Trentham and we passed First Potteries 40028 on a #21B. At the A34 we turned right to go North. We crossed under the A500 and into Trent Vale. We turned into MacDonalds and we saw ABC Supreme FP53 ESU parked in the retail park. We collected the food from the drive in and we also saw Blue minibus YR11 CDK. We headed back down the A34 and we passed ABC Supreme N806 CRJ. We joined the A5035 at Trentham and we got home about 19:30... Matthew ate his food and drank his Coke and we then chilled out on the computer and writing the Blog until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Trip to Hanley 31-07-2013

Today Matthew was in respite. He was going out with someone from Crossroads. Matthew got up and had toast for breakfast before being picked up around 10:00. The us that took matthew to Hanley was Wardle Transport 1649 we got on bus sat down near the back. The bus went along Dividy road and through Bucknall and up limekiln bank into Hanley. drove to Hanley and parked, Whilst there Matthew visited the museum. He went to the toilet first. Then he spent some time in the natural history section. First he photgraphed a Lion

Then they went to see the Spitfire. here was the plane itself.

Afterwards they got back in the bus and headed up to Fenton. There they visited MacDonalds for a burger. Whilst there he went to the toilet. After we had eaten they set off through Hanley to Central Forest Park.

They had around an hour here before retuning to the bus and going back to Bentilee. Matthew spent some time in the office. he also had chips and sausage for tea with ice cream for afters. He then had a bath and supper of toast and then chilled out watching telly and using his computer before bedtime around 00:00...Mark
