Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00. He got dressed and had a giant crumpet and orange juice for breakfast. As it is Matthew's birthday at the weekend, Matthew took a birthday cake in. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

We got on the bus and we set off onto the A5035. We turned right and crossed the railway line into Trentham. We went right into New Inn Lane and we picked up another service user before returning on to New Inn Lane. We rejoined the A5035 and we ran over the railway into Blurton before turning left into Church Road. We ran down through Blurton along Blurton Road and we crossed the A50 and into Heron Cross. We went straight onto Heron Street and over the railway line into Fenton. We headed straight onto Glebedale Road and reached our destination. Once at the day centre. In the morning Matthew spent his time on the computer and they had a small party and everyone ate some birthday cake. For dinner we went to MacDonalds. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to MacDonalds. In Macdonalds Matthew used the toilet and then had a burger and fries with a cup of Coke. When it was time to go they returned to Fenton in Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We got back on the minibus and we ran up Victoria Road and then sharp left onto City Road. We turned left onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the afternoon Matthew was going to the pub. For a treat we arranged for him to travel on a taxi minibus. It turned up and it was Intercity minibus WJ12 NKX.

We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we went straight across City Road onto Fountain Street. We followed the road around to the left onto William Street and at the end we turned right onto Manor Street. At the end of manor Street we turned left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street and to our destinations. At the pub Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 63178 on a #6 to Hanley.

We also saw Intercity minibus SF08 BVH heading towards Hanley.

Matthew continued to party hard and listen to the jukebox with songs such as Achy Breaky Heart by Bully Ray Cyrus. When it was time to go home we climbed aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Palmeston Street and at the end we turned left onto the A52. We turned left onto Victoria Road and we passed an unidentified green & gold Copeland's Tours coach. We continued to the top of Victoria Road and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned into Glebedale Road and we stopped briefly at the day centre before continuing back on to Glebedale Road. We followed the road forwards onto Station Bridge Road and we followed it around onto Heron Street. We crossed the A50 into Blurton and we saw silver minibus PO16 WDF parked outside a house. We carried on forwards onto Church Road. We turned right onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line in Trentham and we turned right into New Inn Lane. After dropping off another service user we came back towards Blurton via The Lea and the A5035. as we passed Crowcrofts Road we saw Wigan Coachways SP53 EGY parked up in the industrial estate. Matthew got home before I did, so they did a short circle around Blurton up Beaconsfield Drive passed white minibus NX03 BFP. We came back down Finstock Avenue and Matthew got home just before 15:00. Matthew had toast and a drink of orangeade whilst he waited for the time to go out and catch the bus. Today we went to catch the 16:26 to Newcastle. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. We had seen the turn earlier in the day and it was booked to be dud First Potteries 67638. A few minutes later the bus turned the corner and as expected it was dud First Potteries 67638.

We got on the bus and we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus was almost empty today due to it being half turn, and the bus in front was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside 67638.

We turned right onto the A5035 and we saw Wigan Coachways SP53 EGY parked up in the industrial estate again & First Potteries 67603 on a #22 to Longton. We crossed the railway into Trentham and we we turned right into New Inn Lane. We climbed the hill into Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. We turned left into Church Lane and we ran down the hill to the A34 were we caught up with First Potteries 42552. we also saw First Potteries 65033 which is now branded for the #101 and Leons Coaches 217 going North. We crossed under the A500 into Trent Vale and we turned right into Harpfields Road where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67638 before it carried on towards Newcastle.

We crossed the road and we turned to see First Potteries 67632 on the third #22 turn, heading towards Longton.

We set off on foot towards the pub along the A34. We sat on the wall and we waited for mum to arrive. Whilst we waited we saw ABC Supreme minibus BX54 EDJ on a Southbound staff shuttle.

A few minutes later we saw Knights minibus DL12 BYW also going South.

Mum turned up and we we headed into the pub. Inside the pub Matthew had a brunch with bread and butter followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included required First Potteries 65037 on a Hanley Bound #101 service (also branded for the #101) as well as ABC Supreme P881 RND on a South bound shuttle. When it was time to go we got in the car to go and pick up uncle Dave. We went South down the A34 and we turned left onto the A500. At Sideway we went Eastwards up the A50 to Heron Cross and we dropped down into Fenton to pick up uncle Dave. We returned to Heron Cross and we crossed over the A50. As we traveled towards Blurton we saw Lucky seven SA08 WCK. We carried on through Blurton along Blurton Road and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive getting home just before 18:00. In the evening we popped out to the shops and Matthew had a slice of New York Cheesecake. He then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
