Today Matthew was going to the pub for his tea, but not before he had been to his day service. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Just before 09:00 his transport to his day service turned up and it was Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

We got on the bus and the bus set off onto the A5035. We turned left and ran through Dresden and up to Longton. We crossed the A50 and we turned into Chadwick Street and passed the Gladstone Pottery Museum. We crossed Uttoxeter Road on Bridgewood Street and went to the end before turning left on Forrister Street. At the ens we turned right onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill and we saw First Potteries 41496 at the back of the depot. At the roundabout we turned left and we ran down to Bentilee. We picked up another service user and we saw Meadows minibus DN65 XZK. The respite place was still in the middle of a big renovation project. We got back onto Dividy Road and we ran into Bucknall and onto the A52. We followed the road around to the left and we saw Scraggs 8416 VT. At joiners Square we went left onto Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road and then onto Glebedale Road and to our destination. In the morning Matthew went for a short walk around Fenton. We went onto Christchurch Street and Righr onto Masterson Street Right onto Watkin Street and right again onto Temple Street before returning to the unit. For Dinner Matthew had MacDonalds out. We went in a magnum taxi. We set off onto Glebedaoe Road and we turned right onto City Road. At thr rundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to MacDonalds. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards He had burher and fries washed down with a can of Coke. When it was time to got they called for another taxi for the journey to the pub. It was another Magnum taxi. We traveled down Victoria Road and across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street and to our destination. In the pub Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. As it was a nice day Matthew spent time in the beer garden at the back of the pub. When it was time to go we were picked up by Shelton Care Group BU05 EWX. We set off onto Palmerston Street and we saw Roseville NU61 VJX. We turned right onto the A52 and then we turned left onto Victoria Road. At the top of Victoria Road we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left into Glebedale Road and we stopped briefly at the day centre and then continued onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Station Bridge Road and we went forwards onto Heron Street. We crossed over the crossroad and over the A50 and we went through Blurton along Blurton Road. We veered right onto Church Road and we continued to the end onto the A5035. We headed over the railway line into Trentham and we turned right onto New Inn Lane. After dropping off another service user we returned New Inn Lane and then left onto the A5035. We went to Magdalen Road and we follwed the road around onto Finstock Avenue and Beaconsfield Drive where we passed white minibus NX03 BFP. Matthew got home just before 15:00 and had toast and a can of diet cherry cola. Just before it was time to go we saw that there was torrential rain! luckily mum was at home today and she was able to give us a lift to the bus stop on the A5035 where there is a bus shelter. We got dropped off at he bus stop around 16:15. I hadn't seen any of #22 turns today, so whatever turned up was going to be a surprise. As we waited for the 16:28 we saw dud First Potteries 67635 on a #22 towards Longton.

The rain didn't let up much, it varied from being very heavy to torrential. A few minutes later we saw a bus appraoching from off Magdalen Road. As it got closer we saw that it was dud First Potteries 67601.

We got on the bus and we booked to Harpfields Road. As it was empty Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 67601.

We set off along the A5035 over the railway line into Trentham. We turned right into New Inn Lane and we saw First Potteries 43877 on a #21 to the Trentham Hotel. We climbed the hill up to Hanford and we turned right into Wilson Road. At the end we turned left onto Church lane and we ran down to the A34. We crossed under the A500 and we ran into Trent Vale. We turned right into Harpfields Road where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another photo of First Potteries 67601 as it carried on towards Newcastle.

Once off the bus we walked back onto the A34 and towards the pub. On the way we saw Stafford Grammar minibus BD64 RSV. We got to the pub at the same time as mum pulled up in the car park. Today was a belated birthday meal, and Grandma and Grandad came as well as a few other friends. Matthew had his usual brunch with bread and butter followed by toffee sponge pudding with ice cream. With there being more people than usual, here was a timing issue and Matthew was unhappy about not get his meal at the same time as Grandma & Grandad. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included required First Potteries 65037 on a Stafford Bound #101 service branded for the #101 as well as ABC Supreme minibus E331 EYC and P&D York coach YT61 GRZ. We also saw City Cabs LL09 SSV pull into the car park.

After we had finished eating on of the staff member at the pub brought out Matthews birthday cake, and Matthew blew out his candles. We shared out his cake and when we had finished we said goodbye to everyone and got in the car. Matthew called up uncle Dave and told him we were on our way to pick him up. We set off onto the A34 and we ran down to the A500. We went North to Sideway and then joined the eastbound A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we saw First Potteries 41497 on a #23A to Newstead. After dropping down into Fenton we picked up uncle Dave and we set off back to Heron Cross. We then got onto the A50 which we did up to Longton. We filled up with diesel and then we carried on East to the other end of Longton. As we waited to get on the roundabout we saw First Potteries 41497 again, now running out of service towards Adderley Green. We crossed the A50 and we ran down through Dresden along the A5035, passing First Potteries 53123 which was also running out of service. We got home around 19:30. Matthew then chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
