Today We decided to re-visit Wrexham. Reseach for the trip consisted of looking at the 1 bws ticket, looking at where we ate on our previous visits to Wrexham and checking the weather. The weather was for dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew woke up at 08:00 to have his medication. Matthew got up at 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got ready and we set off just after 12:00 to pick up uncle Dave. We got in the car and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and at the roundabout we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran through Blurton and into Heron Cross and over the A50. At Heron Cross lights we turned left onto Grove Road and we ran forwards onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. Once we had picked up uncle Dave, we continued down Wheildon Road and we joined the Northbound A500. As we travelled up the A500 we saw AJS Passenger Travel AJ54 BUZ. We continued past the M6 and over the West coact main line. I wasn't concentrating so I turned left onto the A531. We ran to the next roundabout, did a u-turn and we re-joined the Westbound A500. We turned right onto the B5071 and we ran around the block. We turned left onto Laura Street and right onto Barker Street and right onto St Clair Street. We re-joined the Southbound B5071 and parked outside the YMCA facing South We went into the cafe. Matthew had a full English Breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. Afterwards Matthew went to the toilet. We left the YMCA and we got in the. We went back South B5071 and we joined the Westbound A500. We continued for a further 3 miles or so and we turned right onto the Nantwich bypass, past the new road under construction and we ran around the North side of Nantwich before joining the Westbound A534. We travelled west for around 4 miles and we crossed over the A49. We crossed over the A41 at Croxton and we continued to the eastern edge of Wrexham. We continued onto Holt Street and we ran into the centre of town. We veered right onto Chester Street and we turned left into the library car park and parked up. We said goodbye to mum and we walked onto Rhosddu Road. We continued to the bus station and we turned left onto Trinity Street walking past the buses on layover. In the layover area we saw GM Buses RO71 KUW parked up.

Also parked up was Arriva NW&W 2152 on layover in between runs on the #27 to Mold.

Also seen was Arriva NW&W 2156 coming into the layover area after working in on a #11 to Minera.

We gave Matthew a few choices and he chose to go on the T51. A short time later the bus came around from the other side of the bus station. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 4480 on a T51 service to Denbigh.

We got on the bus and we bought 1 bws tickets at £7.50 each before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along Trinity Street and we followed the one way system around onto King Street. We joined the A5152 and we crossed over the A525. We ran through Coedpoeth and Gegin and we entered into Bwlchgwyn and Four Crosses. We veered right onto the A5104 and left onto Allt Yr Efail we ran into Llandegla. The bus turned in the road and we continued along Allt Yr Efail and we turned right onto the A5104. We turned right into the A525 and we ran through Llysfasi. We continued through Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd ran up through Ruthin and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 4480 as it continued towards Denbigh.

Once off the bus we were met by a friendly local who gave us a map of the town. We past a car park and we saw white minibus KX07 WNG parked up near to the Co-op. We turned left onto Market Street and we walk up the hill to the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a small glass of Coke. We sat down in a little snug area to have our drinks. When we had fisnished we went back out onto Market Street and we a quick look in the market. There was nothing that we wanyted to buy so we went to uncle Dave. We were unsure where we needed to go to catch the bus so we walked up Market Street to the roundabout. We worked out the bus was going from around the corner on Wynnstay Road, so we walked back down Market Street and around the corner onto Wynnstay Road. We waited for a bus towards Corwen. A short time later the bus came around the corner. As it got closer we saw it was M&H Coaches YJ64 DXO on a T8 to Corwen.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws tickets under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Wynnstay Road and we turned left onto Well Street. We ran forwards onto the A5254 and we headed Southwards for a couple of miles into Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd. We turned right onto Bron Y Clywd and we turned left onto the Southbound A494. We ran Southwards through Pwllglas and Gwyddelwern and we passed M&H Coaches SK18 TKD going the other way. We turned left onto the B5437 and we passed the Ifor William factory. We turned right onto Green Lane and we ran into Corwen. We turned left by the railway station and we entered the bus station area. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew got another picture of M&H Coaches YJ64 DXO before it went on layover.

There was a small layover area in front of Corwen railway station. Parked in this area was Andrews of Tideswell AS 2933 waiting for passenger of the incoming training.

We went onto the railway station and Matthew used the toilet. We came back through the shop and we bought a can of Coke. A few minutes later another bus arrived. It was Lloyds Coaches YW25 DDN on a T3C to Llanwchllyn.

We sat down by the bus station and Matthew had a can of Dandelion & Burdock. A few minutes pater we saw Lloyds Coaches BV24 LMO on a T3 to Barmouth. A few minutes later our bus arrived. We saw it was Lloyds Coaches BV24 LMM on a T3 to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws ticket under the scanner before we satdown towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto the A5. We headed Eastwards through Carrog and Glyndyfrdwy. We continued through Pen Y Bryn and Berwyn and we ran into the West end of Llangollen. We turned left onto Market Street and left onto Parade Street where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Lloyds Coaches BV24 LMM as it continued towards Wrexham.

We walked back along Parade Street and we turned left onto East Street and into the car park. There were a few buses and coaches parked up here. Of particular interest to us was Staffordshire Moorlands operotor Golden Green Travel MB23 GGG parked up.

We crossed Market Street and we bought an ice cream. We walked along Greenfields and we sat on a bench near to the bus stop and Matthew ate the ice cream. We were now starting to make our way back towards the car whilst still getting in a few more buses. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. We saw it was Arriva NW&W 1011 on a #5 to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws ticket under the scanner before we sat donwn towards the back of the bus. We decided we wouod do this as far as Johnstown to get some supplies from the Co-op. We set off along Parade Street and we turned left onto Castle Street. We crossed over the river and we turned right onto the Eastbound A539. We ran through Trevor and Acrefair. At the big roundabout we veered left onto the Northbound B5605. We ran through Ruabon and as we headed Northwards we continued for around another mile up to Johnstown and we got up and got off by the big Co-op. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 1011 as it continued Northwards towards Wrexham.

We headed into the Co-op and Matthew bought a bottle of Coke and a chocolate bar. We crossed the road and we waited for a bus towards Cefn Mawr. A short time later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Arriva NW&W 702 on a #2c to Cefn Mawr.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down the B5605 and we went under the railway line. We turned right onto the A539. We turned left onto Wynnstay Lane. We turned right onto Hampden Way and we ran Westwards alongside the A539. We rejoined the A539 and we continued Westwards through Acrefair and we turned left onto Abernant Road. We turned right to contimnued along Abernant road and we ran forwards onto Queen Street. We turned right onto Dolydd Road and we continued onto Cae Gwilym Lane. We turned left onto Coronation Street and left onto Plas Kynaston Lane. We turned right onto Hill Street and we continued onto Oxford Street we saw Tesco so we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we headed into Tesco. We bought some pop and a chocolate bar and we went back to the bus stop. We waited for a #2 service. The service bypassed the area, and we were told by a local that this was due to roadworks and a diversion. So we had longer to wait for the next #2C. Whilst we waityed we shared a kitkat that we had in the trip bag. A short time later the bus appeared. We saw it was Arriva NW&W 709 on a #2C to Wrexham.

We got on the bus and we placed the 1bws ticket for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off up Oxford Street and we ran forwards onto Hill Street. We continued onto Queen Street and we ran forwards onto Abernant Road. We joined the Eastbound A539 and we headed towards Plas Madoc. We turned right onto Wynnstay Lane. We turned right onto Hampden Way and we ran Westwards alongside the A539. We rejoined the A539 and we headed Eastwards again. We ran up to the roundabout and we turned left onto the B5605. We ran through Ruabon and as we headed Northwards we continued for around another mile up to Johnstown. We continued into Rhostyllen and we ran under the A483. We ran up the A5152 the last two miles or so into the cente of Wrexham and past Wreham General railway station. We turned right into Regent Street and left into King Street. We turned left into Lord Street and we stopped outside the bus station. where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took a picture of Arriva NW&W 709. Before it went off back to the depot.

We had messaged mum, and she said she would pick us up at the car park where we were dropped off. We headed past the bus layover area and we saw Arriva NW&W 2154 in between runs on the #21 to Summerhill.

We set off along Trinity Street and we turned right onto Rhosddu Road. We walkd past the Police station and library and we turned left onto Llwyn Isaf. We walked past the marquee where there was a music festival going on. We waited in the car park as mum had got lost and took a while to get back to us. A few minutes later mum got in the car and we set off Northwards up Chester Road. We turned right onto the A5152 and we ran past Lidl. We turned right onto Holt Street and left onto Market Street and we parked up near to the chip shop. I went to fetch the food, and when I returned, Matthew had sausage chips and gravy and a can of dandelion & burdock. After I had finished eating we set off along Market Street and we turned left onto St George's Crescent. We ran forwards onto Holt Street and we ran out of town. We turned right onto the A483 and at the next roundabout we joined the Eastbound A534. We ran up to Nantwich crossing the A41 and A49. We joined the A51 and we passed the site of a new Shell petrol station where work has statrted. We continued Nantwich by-pass and we ran around the North side of town and we joined the A500. We crossed under the M6 and we continued through Longport and Etruria into Stoke. We ran up Wheildon road and we dropped off uncle Dave. After we dropped off uncle Dave we ran back up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to Macclesfield. We decided to re-visit Widnes. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to Widnes he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW.

Matthew got his face mask and bag and got ready to go. We came around 11:30 and we saw white minibus MT08 LVX.

Matthew came downstairs and got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Wheildon Road and we picked up uncle Dave. We checked the bag and Matthew realised that he had no batteries so we returned to the residential unit to pick them up. We set off onto Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. We came off the A50 and we turned left at roundabout onto the Northbound A520. We ran through Weston Coyney and we continued up to Cellarhead. We crossed over the A52 and we continued North through Wetley Rocks. We stopped at Truckers Tucker for dinner. Matthew had a breakfast box with toast and oatcakes washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished eating we continued Northwards up the A520 through Cheddleton and Leekbrook and under the railway line up to Ipstones. We ran up the hill and towards Leek town centre. We travelled 'straight outta Compton' and across the traffic lights into St Edwards Street and we turned left onto the A523. We ran down the hill past Sainsburys and then up the hill towards Rudyard lake and through Rushton Spencer. We continued through Bosley over the A54 and into Macclesfield. We passed the Moss Rose football stadium and we ran into town. We joined the A536 and we made a wrong turning into Park Lane. We did a u-turn and we ran down to Sutherland Street. We ran past the railway station and then we turned right under the railway. We turned left onto the A523 and we turned left onto the A536 at the next junction. We turned left onto Jordangate. We ran down towards the town hall where we parked up. We said goodbye to mum and we set off towards the town hall. We walked down Church Street and then back up the hill along Queen Victoria Street. When we got to the bus station we saw Arriva NW&W 4708 on a #3 to Weston. A few minutes later the bus to Congleton arrive. It was Arriva NW&W 3161. We got on and we brought Arriva Day Saver tickets before we sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station and we ran through town onto the A536. We ran out of town through Warren in Rode Heath. We ran to the edge of town and we turned left onto the A54. We entered the bus station and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked down onto Market Street and we turned right onto Bridge Street past of the old RBS bank a new use. We continued along Bridge Street and we visited WH Smith. We brought a couple of bottle of soft drinks and 3 chocolate bars. We walked onto Walked Street and Matthew visited the toilet at the top end of the bus station. We returned to the bus stop and Matthew ate a Bounty. A short time later we saw the bus approaching. As expected it was Arriva NW&W 2933 on a #38 to Crewe. We got on and we brought Arriva Day Saver tickets before we sat down. the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and onto market Street and we ran down the hill onto Mountbatten Way. We turned right onto the A34. We ran North through Lower Heath. We turned right onto the A538. We ran Northwards up to Eaton. We ran north through Rodeheath and Highlane up towards Gawsworth past the A 2 B Taxis. We continued along A536 and we ran into Sutherland Street. We turned left into Waters Green where we saw Andrews PJ03 TFF. We into Queen Victoria Street. When we got to the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew visited the toilet. Afterwards, we had a look around to see what we could catch next. we spotted Arriva NW&W 709 on a #10 to Bollington. We got on the bus and we booked the Arriva Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and across Mill Street onto Roe Street. We turned right onto Chuchill Way and we turned right onto the A537. We turned left onto the A538 and we ran north through Tytherington. We turned right onto Brocklehurst Way and we turned left onto Tytherington Drive. We turned left onto Marlborough Drive and we turned right onto the A538. We turned right onto Tytherington Lane and we continued onto Bollington Road and we ran forwards onto Henshall Road. We went over Wellington Road and we ran into Bollington along Palmerston Street we got up and we got off. Once off the bus we walked up to Palmerston Street onto Wellington Road and we went to The Little Dessert Shop. For afters Matthew had a red velvet cheesecake with custard. when we had finished we walked along Wellington Road onto Palmerston Street. We waited at the bus stop for a bus to Macclesfield. A short time later we saw a bus turned the corner. When it got closer we saw it was Go-Goodwin 1949 on a #392 to Macclesfield. Right behind this was the #10 service. It was dud Arriva NW&W 707. We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along Palmerston Street and we continued onto Wellington Road. We continued onto Henshall Road and we ran forwards onto Bollington Road and we continued onto Tytherington Lane. We carried on up A538 and we ran north through Tytherington. We turned left onto Marlborough Drive and we turned right onto Tytherington Drive. We turned right onto Brocklehurst Way and we turned left onto the A538. We turned right onto the A537 and we turned left onto Churchill Way. We turned left onto the A536 and we ran into Sunderland Street where we saw MP Travel ME10 BUS. We turned left onto Queen Victoria and we entered the bus station. We got up and got off the bus and we waited at the north end of the bus station watching buses come into the bus station whilst we decided what to catch next. We saw required High Peak Solo 281 on a #60 to Hayfield. A few minutes later we saw required Arriva NW&W 3160 on a #38 to Crewe. We got on the bus and we booked the Arriva Day Saver ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off out of the bus station and we ran through town onto the A536. We ran out of town through Warren in Rode Heath. We ran to the edge of town and we turned left onto the A54 and we entered the bus station and onto market Street and we ran down the hill onto Mountbatten Way. We turned left onto Mill Street and we climbed the hill, turning right onto West Street. At the roundabout we went straight onto the A34 and at the following junction we went straight ahead onto the A534. We went out of town through West Heath and then out into open countryside. We crossed the A50 at the Arclid crossroads and we passed a large lake. It was now bright sunshine as we crossed the M6, where we saw an unidentified National Holidays coach going North. On the west side of the m6 we left the A534 and turned right onto Congleton Road and we ran into Sandbach Common. After a brief stop we continued on our journey. After a brief stop we went Westwards out of the town onto Crewe Road and through Wheelock. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock Heath and Winterly, passed the pond. We continued into Haslington and we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road and waited at the bus stop for the next bus back to Congleton. A few minutes later it appeared and it was Arriva NW&W 3161 on a #38 to Congleton. We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off along Crewe Road and Winterley and further North through Wheelock Heath. We crossed the A534 and we ran through Wheelock. We ran over the canal and into Sandbach town center past Sandbach School. When we got to the Common onto Congleton Road. We joined the A534 and past the site of the new development by the M6. We continued along the A534 and we crossed over the M6 and into open countryside. We carried on through open countryside and we crossed over the Arclid crossroads. On the edge of Congleton we joined the A34 and we ran East along the road for a short while before going onto West Street. We entered town along Antrobus Street, Mill Street and Mountbatten Way. We turned right into Market Street, past the Bear Grills cafe and into the bus station. We got off. A short time later we saw Arriva NW&W 2933 as expected. We went into Morrisons where Matthew used the toilet. Once we came out we spotted mum in the car park and we headed over to her. At the car Matthew had a can of Irn Bru. We set off out of the car park onto Market Street and we ran down the hill onto Mountbatten Way. We turned right onto the A34. We stopped at the chip shop and Matthew had sausage chips and gravy. We sat in the car and ate the food before re-joining the A34 and through Talke down to the A500. At Talke we got onto the Southbound A500 and we ran through Longtport and Etruria into Stoke. We came off the A500 and we veered left onto Whieldon Road. We dropped uncle Dave off and we continued up Whieldon Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and right onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went to his room to chill out and use his computer. later on he had a slice of Millionaire's Shortbread. Matthew looked at buses on the Internet and watched the television. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark

Today we decided to re-visit Widnes. We gave Matthew a list of places in the Midlands and North-West and from the list Matthew chose Widnes. We checked the weather for today and it was for cool dry weather turning colder later on. Matthew got up around 09:30 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We set off around 11:30 and we stopped outside the Co-operative Food store on Finstock Avenue so mum could post a parcel. Once she had completeed the task we continued up to Beaconsfield Drive. We turned left onto Church Road and we continued to the mini roundabout where we veered left onto Blurton Road. We ran down the hill past the petrol station and and we climbed up the other side into Heron Cross where we saw BX04 VKL at the Lightning house. At Heron Croiss we joined the Westbound A50 and we ran down the hill to Sideway where we turned right onto the Northbound A500. We made good time up to the M6 and we passed white minibus OU55 GFZ. We got on the M6 at junction 16 and today the motorway was relatively clear. As we travelled North we saw an unidentified Aston Manor Coaches coach, an unidentified white yellow & blue minibus, an unidentified Belle Vue coach, an unidentified Minsterley Motors coach, Grey Gull Inn EU54 TTE, Eavesway YJ12 CKA and an unidentified Aziz coach. As we left the M6 onto the Westbound M62 we were passed by Holmeswood VIP coach PO12 EOC. We travlled westwards for a few miles until we came off the M62 and went Southwards down the A557 to the edge of town. We turned right onto Ashley Way and and at the roundabout we went right onto Green Oaks Way. We parked up in the car park near to the market and bus station and we walked over to the market to have dinner. Matthew used the toilet and then we sat down and mum went to order the food. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a small bottle of Coke. When we had finished eating we said goodbye to mum and we walked out of the market to the bus station. It seemed very busy today and there were plenty of buses passing through. We saw dud Arriva NW&W 2532 on a #110 to Warrington.

We considered doing Halton Transport 26 which was on the #27 to Weates Close. We queued up to get on but the people who we though were in the queue weren't so the bus pulled off. Whilst we considered our options we saw required Arriva NW&W 714 on a #17 to the town centre.

We got on the bus and we brought Arriva NW&W Day Saver tickets at £5.50 each before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we turned right onto Gerrards Street. We ran forwards onto Milton Road and we turned left onto the B5419. We went through the old town and across the roundabout onto Victoria Road where we saw required Arriva NW&W 5017 on a #79 to Hough Green. We got onto the new A533 and we crossed over the new Mersey Gateway Bridge. We then headed back Westwards and then joined Leiria way to run into Runcorn town centre. We ran onto the High Street we ran past the bus station before turning right into the bus station so we were pointing the right way to go towards Halton Lea. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 5007 as it continued towards Halton Lea.

A few minutes later we saw required Arriva NW&W 5018 on a #79C to Murdishaw which we decided to catch.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver before sitting down towards the rear of the bus. We set off out of town along the B5155 and we followed the road to the right and over the canal. We went under the A533 towards the town hall and we turned right into Ivy Street and left into Langdale Road. We ran through Halton Lodge Norleane Crescent and Linkway. We ran clockwise around Grangeway and we joined the busway and we ran though Halton Lea North close to the library. We decided to go a bit further East to Hospital so continued along the busway for a further 1/2 mile or so. When we got to the hospital we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of Arriva NW&W 5018 as it carried on towards Murdishaw.

Directly behind us was Arriva NW&W 5007 which had come a different route and had now caught back up with us. We crossed the road and we decided to walk up to the turning circle to get pictures as there were buses parked up there. We walked up the path and we saw Halton Transport 42 on a #62 to Halebank.

Once we had looked at the buses at the turning circle we walked back to the Westbound side of the road. We deciced to do the next X1 towards Speke and we saw Arriva NW&W 5004 & 5015 on X30 services. We also saw Ashcroft's Solo YX04 KWJ turn the corner towards the shopping centre on the #52 Beechwood circular service. A few minutes later we saw the bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was dud Arriva NW&W 3136 on the X1 to Liverpool.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver before sitting down towards the rear of the bus. We set off along the busway towards the Halton Lea shopping centre and we just beyond the shopping centre we stopped for a driver change. We ran through Castlefields and we turned right onto Tyrrell Way. We turned left onto Castlefields Avenue East and we joined the Westbound A558. We ran fast onto the A533 and we turned right over the canal onto Leiria Way and into Runcorn town centre. After stopping the bus station and then we headed back to the A533. We ran fast over the river Mersey on the new bridge and we joined the Westbound A562. We ran at speed for around 2 miles and the we veered left to join the A561. We ran the last mile or so into Speke and we could see a small bus terminal outside of Morrison as we went past. After crossing over Western Avenue we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture picture of Arriva NW&W 3136 as it carried on towards Liverpool.

Once we had let the bus go we set off towards Western Avenue to catch a bus to either the Aiport or to Morrisons in Speke. As we walked back towards the road we saw Arriva NW&W 4820 on a #82 to Liverpool.

We cut the corner along a path and we walked to the first bus stop on the Southbound side of the road. We didn't have to waiy for more than a couple of minutes when we saw an Arriva hybrid double decker coming around the corner off the A561. As it got closer we saw it was required Arriva NW&W 4813 on a #82 to Speke Morrisons.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off down Western Avenue and past Paul McCartney's first home. We turned left onto Central Avenue and we ran Eastwards through the estate. We ran clockwise around the South Parade and we continued Eastwards onto Central Way. We turned left onto Eastern Avenue and we ran Northwards for around 1/4 of a mile. We turned left onto Millwards Road and we ran Westwards to Morrisons and the end of the run. We got up to get off and Matthew took a picture inside the top deck of Arriva NW&W 4813.

We got off the bus and we headed into Morrisons. Matthew visited the toilet and then we went into the shop. Matthew brough a cpolpe of small bottles of Coke, a double Milky Way and a Drumstick lolly. We paied for the things and we headed back outside to the small 3 stand bus terminal. We went outside and Arriva NW&W 4813 was still on layover.

We saw Arriva NW&W 4563 arrive into the terminal. It went on layover before working the next #81 to Bootle.

Whilst we waited for the bus to be readied for service we saw Arriva NW&W 4853 on the #80 to Liverpool and Arriva NW&W 4817 & 4824 on the #82 Liverpool. Whilst we waited for the bus to be readied Matthew ate his Drumstick Lolly. When the driver was ready we got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver. The downstairs saloon was empty so Matthew took a picture inside Arriva NW&W 4563.

We set off out of the bus terminal onto Millwood Road and we headed Eastwards. We turned right onto Eastern Avenue and we ran Southwards before turning right onto Central Way. We ran anti-clockwise around South Parade and we joined Central Avenue. We turned right onto Western Avenue and we ran Northwards up to the main road. We turned left onto the A561 and we ran Westwards towards LIverpool. We turned right onto Speak Hall Road. We ran Northwards towards Woolton and as we crossed over the railway line we saw 2 class 08 shunters and 4 old coaches parked adjacent to them. We turned right onto the A562 and we saw HTL Buses YJ16 DYG on a #166 to Garston and YJ11 EKP on a #188 to Halewood. We ran Eastwards to Hunts Cross and we turned left onto Speke Road. We ran Northwards for around 3/4 of a mile and we crossed over the B5171. We ran into Woolton and we got up and got off the bus. We over the road and we walked over to the Southbound stop to wait for an airport bound service. We had a few minutes before the next #89 service so Matthew ate a bag of Milky Stars. A few minutes later as expected we saw a double decker approaching, As it got closer we saw that it was required Arriva NW&W 4618 on a #89 to Liverpool Airport.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off down Speke Road and we went past Hunts Cross railway station and over the A562. We continued along Woodend Avenue and we travlled around 1/3 of a mile before we crossed over the A561. We continued onto Western Avenue and we turned left onto Central Avenue and we ran anti-clockwise around the South Parade. We ran forwards onto Central Way and we turned right onto Eastern Avenue. We ran Southwards to Hale Road and we turned right to head towards the airport. We entered the airport through the 2 barriers and then we pulled on on the end stop and we got up and got off the bus. Once Matthew had taken a couple of pictures we headed into the airport terminal and Matthew used the toilet. We had around 20 minutes to wait for a #82A back to Widnes so Matthew had a double Milky Way and a can of Fanta orange whilst we waited. Whilst we waited for our bus we saw required Arriva NW&W 4477 on the #500 to Liverpool, required Arriva NW&W 4564 on a #86A to Liverpool and Selwyn's 265 on a #3A to Huyton. A few minutes later we saw a gas bus approaching and as it got closer we saw that it was dud Arriva NW&W 5007 rthat we had been on earlier in the day on a #82A to Halton Lea.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Arriva NW&W Day Saver ticket to the driver for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the airport onto Speke Hall Avenue and we turned right onto Dunlop Road where we saw silver taxi minibus W11 RTU. We turned left onto Western Avenue and we saw taxi minibuses NX59 TTZ, MK15 KTT & BL56 UUR. We ran Northwards for a short distance and then we turned right onto Central Avenue. We ran anti-clockwise around South Parade and forwards onto Central Way. We turned right onto Eastern Avenue and we ran down to Hale Road. We headed Eastwards into Hale passing Arriva NW&W 2540 on a #82A to Liverpool Airport. We ran out of Hale along Town Lane and into Halebank. At the turning circle we saw Halton Transport 44 on a #62 to Halton Lea. We contin ued North up Hale Road and we crossed over the railway line and under the A672 that we flew over when we went towards Speke. We continued up to the B5178 and we continued East into Widnes town centre. We ran past the North end of the town and we turned right into the Green Oaks bus station. Matthew wanted to travel further towards Runcorn but as it was already dark and getting cold we persuaded him it wuld be in his best interest to call it a day at this point. Reluctantly Matthew got off the bus and took another picture of Arriva NW&W 5007 as it carried on towards Halton Lea.

Mum had moved the car to an adjacent space and was waiting with Greggs sausage rolls and a can of Irn Bru. We set off out of the car park onto the Northbound Green Oaks way and we did a u-turn at the roundabout so we could headec back to the A557. We got onto the Northbound A557 and we ran Northwards for around 3 miles up to the M62. We went Eastwards along the M62 and as we travelled towards the M6 we saw an unidentified Ashcroft's coach. We joined the Southbound M6 and as we travelled through the night we saw taxi minibus OU17 AUV and an unidentified Abbot Travel coach. At junction 16 we left the M6 to get onto the Southbound A500 which we did to Sideway. We got onto the Eastbound A50 and we climbed the hill we were passed by Ausden Clark white coach CNZ 1541. We stopped at Tesco to fill up with petrol where we saw grey taxi minibus SB66 FZW. When we were at the petrol station Matthew decided he needed the toilet. We drove as close as we could to the main shop and Matthew used the facilites. Once we had finished we walked back to the car and we saw Lucky Seven PO11 CGG. We drove back onto Baths Road and we saw Warrington's of Ilam SCZ 9652 which was returning from Coventry with fans from thr Stoke City FA Cup game. We headed over to the other side of the A50 to see what was on the spare ground Z Carz this evening. It was empty as expected so we turned left into Willow Row where we saw Z Carz minibus SFZ 7846.

We set off onto the Westbound A50 and we came off at Heron Cross. We turned left onto Blurton Road and as we ran through Blurton we saw Roseville EX57 HKT. We continued onto Church Road and we turned right onto beaconsfield Drive where we saw Lucky Seven SM12 HGX. We got home around 19:00. For a late tea we had bangers and mash with carrots followed by a jam filled shortcake biscuit. Matthew chilled out on his computer until bedtime around 23:30. Today we decided to re-visit Accrington. We had checked the weather and it was forecasting fine sunny weather all over the Midlands and North West England. We gave Matthew a choice of destinations from which to chose from and from the list he chose Accrington. Research other than to check the weather was to look at the Transdev website to see what the ticket areas were. Matthew got up around 10:15 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We set off just before 12:15 and we drove onto the A5035. At Stanley Matthews Way we turned right and at the end we turned left onto the westbound A50. At Sideway we joined the Northbound A500. As we travelled North we saw Northern Scottish double decker 16. We joined the M6 and it was fairly quite. On the M6 we saw Roseville ML08 ODL. We also saw National Express liveried (Travel de Courcey) FJ11 GMF broken Down on the Northbound hard shoulder. We made good time up to the M62. At the M62 we went East and joined the clockwise M60. On the M60 we saw D Hurst UKZ 5457. We joined the Northbound M66 and we did this forward onto the A56. Near to Hasllingden we joined the Westbound A680 for the last few miles into Accrington. As we turned into Abbey Street we passed required Rossendale transport Dart 147 in the old livery. We parked on Abbey Street and we visited the Abbey Friar chip shop cafe. Matthew visited the toilet upstairs with it's fancy LED illuminating tap! For dinner Matthew had sausage chips and gravy with bread and butter washed down with a small bottle of Coke served in Coca Cola can style coloured glasses. After we had finished eating we said goodbye to mum and set off towards the main Street to go and catch a bus. The first bus we saw was required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 2750.

As we walked down Infant Street to try and see if we could catch the double decker, we spotted a few buses on layover in the side street. Parked up in bank Street was required Pilkington Bus Dart R846 VEC.

We had a choice of what direction to go after we had been on the double decker. We could do the bus all the way to Burnley on a Burnley Connect Ticket, or we could do the bus as far as Huncoat on a Blackburn area ticket and then head back towards Blackburn. I asked Matthew which of these he wanted to do and he chose to go to Burnley. We got on the bus and we booked the Burnley Connect tickets at £4.20 each. We went upstairs and we sat down near to the stairs. The bus set off out of town along the A679 and up to Huncoat. When we got to the junction of the A56 we carried on towards the motorway. We went into the Network 65 Industrial estate and the we joined the Westbound M65, we seemed counter intuitive. It soon became clear why we did this. At the next junction we came off the motorway before crossing under the M65 and re-joining the eastbound carriageway. From the A679 you could only join the Westbound road. We carried on a couple of junction East until we got to the A671. We then ran into town and through the town centre before going onto Red Lion Street and into the bus station. We let the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside Transdev Burnley & Pendle 2750.

As we often do when we go to Burnley, we walked around the outside of the bus station to get a few pictures of buses on stand from the other side. In one of the layover bays was Transdev Burnley & Pendle 709 which had recently been repainted in the Burnley Connect / Follow the Clarets livery supporting Burnley football club.

Required Transdev Bunley & Pendle 1856 was on a #28 to Skipton and required Transdev Bunley & Pendle 1859 was on a #27 to clitheroe. Required Transdev Bunley & Pendle 257 was on a #1 to Worsthorne and dud Transdev Bunley & Pendle 2777 was between X43 Manchester services. At the other end of the bus station was required Transdev Bunley & Pendle 285 on a #1 to the Stoop estate.

We walked back into the bus station and Matthew used the toilet. We walked up to the top of the bus station and we decided to do a bus towards Nelson or so we thought. There were a couple of buses on stand going Eastwards, so we decided to get on dud Transdev Bunley & Pendle 1867.

At this point we didn't know this was a bus we had done before, I hadn't checked. Showing the ticket to the driver he told us we weren't valid very far out of town on this particular ticket. We could on travel just the North of the bus garage. We asked the driver to let us know when we got to the boundry of the ticket. We decided to do the bus anyway. We sat down near to the back and Matthew took a picture of the empty seats behind us.

The bus set off out of the bus station and we joined the Northbound A682 out of town and past the Morrisons superstore. We travelled just over a mile out of town and we guessed correctly where the border of the ticket was. We got up and got off the bus. We were at a busy crossroad and the bus stop we required was diagonal opposite us on the junction. We crossed one of the road and we decided to stop at a bench. Matthew drank a small bottle of Raspberryade that we got from the Abbey Friar chips shop. As we sat there we saw required Transdev Bunley & Pendle 1067 on a #28 to Burnley. Not to worry as buses were every 7-8 minutes along this route. Matthew finished his pop and we stood at the stop. On the opposite side of the road on a #29 to Barnoldswick was required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1074.

A few minutes later we saw Witch Way double decker approaching which was in front of another Mainline Volvo. I asked Matthew if he wanted to do the double decker and he said yes. As it got closer we saw that it was required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 2780.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Burnley Connect tickets to the driver before going upstairs. The bus that was behind us was required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1870 on a #29 to Burnley. The bus went down the A682 for around a mile and a half and around the bus station to enter from Red Lion Street. First West Yorkshire 66781 was parked on Croft Street about to work the #589 service. When got in the bus station the bus didn't empty as it was a through service to Manchester. Matthew took a picture of the empty rear of the top decker of the bus before we got off.

when we got off we had a quick think about what buses to do next. We saw dud Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1053 on a #2 to Higherford.

There was a required Streetlite on the #5... It was bound to be required as we had not done any of the Streetlites since there arrival earlier in the year. The in question was Transdev Burnley & Pendle 607.

As we had never caught the bus to Rose Grove before we decided to do it. We got on the bus and we flashed the Burnley connect tickets to the driver. We sat down near to the back of the bus. The bus was started and it left the bus station and went out of town up Manchester Road. At thr roundabout we joined the A671 and we went North West towards the M65. At the roundabout before the motorway we joined the A679 Accrington Road. As we got adjacent to rose Grove railway station we turned right and we crossed over the railway line. There were a few shops here so we decided to get up and get of the bus. The bus had now emptied out and Matthew took a picture inside Transdev Burnley & Pendle 607 before we got off the bus.

We had seen a shop across the road so we crossed the road and went to the shop. In the Shop matthew picked some pop and chocolate to stock up the trip bag. We walked up the road to the Burnley bound stop. The next bus was due at 16:03 in around 15 minutes. Matthew drank a small bottle of Coke and ate a couple of Milky Ways. Just before the bus was due Millennium taxi minibus RX09 BUJ entered and then left the entry just above the bus stop.

We were expecting to catch the same bus back, but further research the the #5 becomes the #4 in rose Grove and runs forward to Boundary Mills in Colne. As such there a different bus headng our way. As it got closer we saw that it was required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 604.

We got on the bus and we flashed our tickets to the driver before sitting down towards the rear of the bus. The bus crossed over the railway line and we turned left onto the A679. At the big roundabout we joined the A671 for the run into town. After passing through the town centre the bus entered the bus station of Red Lion Street. Even the the #5 is a through service to Harle Syke, the bus emptied out in the bus station so Matthew got a picture inside Transdev Burnley & Pendle 604.

As we came into the bus station we noticed required Transdev Lancashire United 2751 parked outside. It was due off in 5 minutes on the next #152 to Preston. We walked out of the bus station and got a picture of the buses as it waited for time.

We walked back into the bus station to wait for the #152 service. When it was ready to load up, we got on the bus and we flashed the tickets to the driver. Unusually everyone had chosen to go upstairs, and the lower saloon was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside the lower saloon of Transdev Lancashire United 2751.

We went upstairs and we sat down. Transdev Burnley & Pendle 709 which had been on layover had now departed... Instead there were a couple of other buses in it's place including required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1046.

We left the bus station passing Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1066 which was the other bus on layover. Also in the bus station was First West Yorkshire 66789 which was on a #589 service. We set off out of town and we saw Easton's Setra coach R3 AWE. We climbed the hill and crossed over the M65. As we approached Padiham we saw required Transdev Lancashire United 2753 going into Burnley. We decided to get off in Padiham rather than to go up to Altham Business park where the only service we could catch back would be the #152. From Padiham there is a 7-8 minute frequency of buses From Clitheroe or Accrington. We crossed the river in Padiham and we decided to get off by the town hall. Once we got off the bus matthew got another picture of Transdev Lancashire United 2751 before it carried on towards Preston.

We crossed the road at the crossing and walked over the bridge to the point where all services including the #23 from Accrington pass by. As we passed the Accrington turning we saw required Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1870 about to turn onto the road.

We didn't think we would make the bus, but as it stopped over the road and there was somebody waiting at the next stop, this enable us to get to the stop before the bus left. We got on the bus and we flashed the Burnley Connect ticket to the driver for the final time today. We sat down towards the back of the bus and the bus pulled off from the stop and along the A671 towards Burnley. We stopped for a short while outside the Tim Bobbin pub so that we didn't run early, and then we continues over the M65 and into town. When we got to the bus station the bus emptied out despite it being a through service to Keighley. This allowed Matthew to take a picture inside the now empty Transdev Burnley & Pendle 1870.

Matthew visited the toilet and then we met up with mum and we went to the newsagent where Matthew had a few more things for the trip bag. On the way back to the car we stopped to take a few more pictures. We saw Holmeswood Solo YB06 VOK just about to work a #65 service.

We got in the car and there were Greggs sausage rolls and Irn Bru for Matthew. We set off onto Red lion Road and we joined Manchester Road before turning right on the Roundabout onto the A671. We followed the road up to the M65 and we joined the West bound M65 for a couple of junctions. When we got the the A56 we went South and we carried on forwards past Haslingden onto the M66. we saw a Yelloway Plaxton coach which was working a shuttle service in conjunction with a museum open day. We joined the M60 anti clockwise just to the South of Bury and we then joined the westbound M62. As we joined the M6 we saw a Wicksons coach. We finally caught up with it just to the South of the M56 and we saw that it was Wicksons WH11 CHR.

Approaching the A556 junction, we saw a Challinors Coaches coach join the Southbound M6 ahead of us. We caught this coach up a little quicker than the last one to see that it was Challinors BU03 LYV.

We left the M6 at junction 16 to go East on the A500. We came off the A500 at Longport today to go and pick something up from Longport. We stopped at the Texaco garage in Longport for the first time since it re-opened and we filled up with diesel. Whilst in the petrol station we saw a familiar face. It was the boss of Parklands, Alton. He came over to say hello to Matthew. He used to look after Matthew in respite for around 18 months when Matthew was between 16 and 18. He could hardly believe home grown up Matthew was these days! After saying goodbye we rejoined the A500 for the ride South to Sideway. We went East to Longton and we came off the A50 to have a look at what was on Z Carz this evening. There were three buses on the spare ground. first in the row was Z Carz Ford minibus PY08 KDX.

We rejoined the A50 for the trip up to Heron Cross where we came off and turned left onto Blurton Road. We saw Phil Boulton T2 DLT and then we carried on through Blurton. On Beaconsfield Drive we passed the final #22 of the day towards Longton which was being worked by First Potteries 60193. We got home just after 19:00.
