Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Autocabs DF66 NKE. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Highcross House YP71 CWC. We carried on along Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We waited for a bus towards Hanley. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67172 on a #23 to Hanley

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road. and we joined the A52 to go under the railway line and over the A500. We continued onto Church Street and into the centre of Stoke. After a brief stop we continued around the one-way system onto Elenora Steet and right onto Copeland street. We turned left onto Glebe Street and we went under the railway line before turning left onto Station Road. We went past the railway station and and turned right. We ran up Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. After running the hill through Shelton we continued onto Cleveland Road and forwards onto Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road onto Bethesda Street before we turned right onto John Street. Once in the bus station. We got up and got off the bus. In the bus station we saw First Potteries 65041 on a #7 to Kidsgrove. We left the bus station and we walked up Lichfield Street. We continued onto Stafford Street and we carried on towards Debenhams. We walked up Piccadilly into Tontine Square. We continued along Tontine Street. Once we had finished we went to the Intu Potteries shopping centre. after visiting shops in the shopping centre we walked down Tontine Square past the HSBC bank onto Piccadilly. We returned to Piccadilly onto Stafford Street and we went to the Premier shop where Matthew had a can of Coke. We walked back along Stafford Street to Albion Street. We walked across Bagnall Street and onto Adventure Place and down to the museum. On the way we saw First Potteries 63034 on a #7 to Kidsgrove. Afterwards we walked up Bagnall Street and across John Street and we saw First Potteries 67174 on a #7A to Biddulph. We walked down Lichfield Street. We turned righ onto Old Hall Street and we crossed over the road onto Old Hall Street past the site of the old bus station which has now been almost completely demolished. We turned the corner onto and we walked up McDonalds and we had dinner. Matthew had a burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Once We walked along Parliament Row and we walked onto Old Hall Street. We walked up Lichfield Street and back to the bus station. We waited for a bus back towards Fenton we saw First Potteries 67150 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67181 on a #6 to Coalville.

We got on the bus we booked to Meir before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto the ring road and we turned right onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto City Road and past the site of the new Burger King. We continued forwards onto King Street and we passed through Foley. We ran forwards into Longton and under the railway line into Longton town centre. The bus stopped on Market Street. We continued onto and we followed the one-way system onto Commerce Street. We crossed over the A50 and we ran forwards onto Lightwood Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto Upper Belgrave Road. We ran forwards onto Waterhead Road. We turned left onto the A520 and we ran through Meir and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we waied for a taxi back to Fenton. It was a Lucky Seven taxi. We set off along the A520 and we turned right at the roundabout onto the Westbound A50. We ran through Longton to Fenton and we came off the A50 at Heron Cross. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we went through the traffix lights onto Heron Street. We ran forwards onto Station Bridge Road and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Masterson Street and right onto Watkin Street. We continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses. We turned up and we had a birthday party. First Matthew opened his birthday presents. Then we ate some party food. We had sandwiches and cheese oatcakes as well as burgers Matthew had a bus cake and he enjoyed it so much he ate 4 large slices. He also drank a bottle of Coke. Matthew stayed up until after midnight in order to see in the new year. Happy New Year 2023! Matthew went upstairs and we to bed around 00:30... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Dave New Tours BN17 JEU. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Afford rent-a-car Clairs of Derbyshire VA02 COD. As it got closer we saw it was D&G Bus 111 on a #1A to Wood Lane.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. hospital. As we travelled through the hospital we saw D&G Bus 114 on a #9 to Longton, ERS Medical FJ21 HGG and ABC Supreme YA67 VBB. Once through the hospital we turned right onto the A34 and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout and we ran up Barracks Road and into the bus station from the South end. Once we got to the bus station we got up and got off the bus. A few minutes later a bus to Hanley appeared and it was dud First Potteries 35939 on a #25 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we went upstairs. When it was time to go the bus set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We turned left at the roundabout onto the A34. we ran South as far as the hospital where we turned left. As we travelled through the hospital. We came out of the hospital and turned left onto Hilton Road. We ran into Hartshill and we turned right onto the A52. We ran down the hill into Stoke town centre and along Church Street. After a brief stop we continued along the A52, over the A500 and under the railway line. We followed the A52 to the left and we ran alongside the railway and onto Station Road. We passed the railway station and we turned right onto Stoke Road and we turned right onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned left onto College Road. We ran up the hill through Shelton and we followed the road to the right onto Cleveland Road and Regent Road. We turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street and we crossed over the ring road, continuing onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus at the stop outside the bus station. Once off the bus we set off up Lichfield Street. We turned right onto Birch Terrace and we visited Iceland. When we had finished shopping we walked onto Old Hall Street past the site of the old bus station which has now been almost completely demolished. We turned the corner onto Parliament Row and we stopped at McDonalds and Matthew had chicken nuggets and fries and a cup of Coke. We walked back along parliament Row and we stopped at Poundland. We continued along Parliament Row and around the corner onto Old Hall Street to the bus stop. We waited for a bus back towards Fenton. A short time later we saw the bus approaching and it was First Potteries 67146 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Old Hall Street. We crossed over the ring road onto Bucknall New Road. We ran down the hill through Limekiln lights and we turned right onto Dividy Road. We turned left onto Beverley Drive and right onto Dawlish Drive. We ran through the estate and back onto the A5272. We ran up to Adderley Green. At the roundabout we turned right onto Anchor Road. system onto Commerce Street and right onto The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down the Strand and under the railway line onto King Street. We continued down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road. We went past KFC and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walked back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses out of the window we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We went downstairs and we went to Silverdale by Lucky Seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off onto Temple Street where we saw Temple Street Church RX18 GZW. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hill and under the railway line into Stoke. We crossed over the A500. We went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill. At the roundabout we ran forwards onto George Street and into Newcastle where we saw First Potteries 65041 on a #101 to Hanley. We ran forwards onto Ryecroft. We ran forward onto Knutton Lane and we went through Knutton. We turned left onto Church Lane and we turned right onto Silverdale Street and we turned left Mill Street and we saw City Cabs SF18 CKG. We ran into Silverdale and we continued onto High Street. We turned left onto Scot Hay Road and we turned right onto Kents Lane and we saw Autocabs YK64 LSN. We ran to the main car park where we got out of the taxi. Once at the visitors centre we went for a walk. We walked around the country Park and we stopped a few times to have a rest. Matthew climbed up to the top of a few of the hills. when we had finished we called for a taxi back towards Fenton. we saw it was a Lucky Seven taxi. We got in the taxi and we set off along onto Kents Lane We turned left onto Scot Hay Road and we ran through the centre of Silverdale. We ran along the High Street and forwards onto Silverdale Road. We turned left onto the B5368 and we ran through Knutton. We ran past Morrison into Milehouse and we turned right onto the Southbound A34. We ran past the bus garage and we veered left onto London Road. We turned left onto Ryecroft. We joined the A52 and we ran around the one way system and headed towards Hartshill. We veered left onto Shelton New Road and we joined the Southbound A500. We stayed on the high level road and we came off the A500 at City Road. We ran under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right onto Glebedale Road. We turned right Baker Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We ran to the end of the road and we got out. We walked around the corner onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to his room and chilled out in his room and use his computer and watch buses out of the window. Matthew also drank a can of Cherry Coke. For tea Matthew had sausage egg chips bean with bacon and an oatcake followed by Toffee sponge pudding and custard. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus and going to visit uncle Dave later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Shelton Care Group YS70 KWG. Matthew got ready to go to Newcastle. Whilst getting ready we saw Travel Express SM65 DMY heading towards Stoke. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Newcastle. We stood at the bus stop and we waited for a first but to Hanley. A few minutes later the bus turned up and it was First Potteries 67173 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre on the one-way system. We turned left onto Lonsdale Street and we turned right onto Flemming Road. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we ran forwards onto Church Street. We ran forwards onto Hartshill Road and we went up the hill through Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We walked out of the bus station and we waited for a bus towards Trentham Gardens. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 44515 on a #22 to Longton.

Eventually the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 33829 on a #101 to Stafford.

We got on the bus and we booked to Trentham Garden before we went upstairs we sat down. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we ran down through Trent Vale and into Hanford. We continued down through to Trentham where we saw ABC Supreme HV22 HKP. Near to the old entrance to the gardens we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we went to across the road the road and into Trentham Gardens. We parked up and we went to the retail village. we stopped at the riverside Cafe and for dinner Matthew had sausage chips and beans washed down with a can of Coke. We walked around the North end of the lake and we went to Totally delicious. After finishing eating Matthew went to the toilet. We went into the gardens and we walked to the North West corner and we stopped to benches sit down on the benches. Matthew had a can of coke. Once we had finished eating we walked back through the main gate and onto the A34 opposite the A5035. We turned left and walked along the A34 to the old Gardens entrance where the bus stop is situated. We waited for a bus back towards Hanley. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 33829 on a #101 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off Northwards through Trentham. We continued North through Hanford and Trent Vale and we past the City General hospital before going into Newcastle. We turned right onto Barracks Road and we entered the bus station. After a brief stop we continued towards Hanley. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran forwards onto the one-way system. We continued onto the A52 and when we got to Hartshill we veered left onto Shelton New Road. We ran over the railway line and canal and we went up to Snow Hill. We turned left and ran up Broad Street. We turned right onto the ring road and left onto Bethesda Street. We turned right onto John Street and we ran up to the bus station. Once in the bus station we got up and got off the bus. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63177 on a #18 to Leek. Once off the bus we headed to the toilet. We waited for a bus back towards Fenton. We waited for a short while and we saw First Potteries 65031 on a #7A to Biddulph. As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Newstead.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto John Street and we turned left onto Bethesda Street. We crossed over the ring road and we ran down onto Regent Road and forwards onto Cleveland Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road and we ran down to the railway station. We turned right onto Glebe Street and under the railway line an we ran around the one-way system in Stoke and stopped by Stoke Minster. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed the A500 and we ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and we cut through to the residential unit. We went upstairs and chilled out in his room to chill out and use the computer. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. We saw grey minibus MF71 ZVE going towards Stoke. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto Temple Street. In the distance we saw Temple Street church RX18 GZW. We continued along Temple Street and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We went across the spare ground onto Willowdale Avenue and onto Whieldon Road and into uncle Dave's house. For tea Matthew had sausages potatoes and carrots with gravy followed by a slice of lemon cheesecake. Later on he had a drink of Fanta orange and a few digestive biscuits. Uncle Dave now has a biscuit tin. Matthew chilled out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned onto Willowdale Avenue and we saw silver minibus DK53 VRE parked up. We crossed the spare ground and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the Queen Elizabeth II Court. We continued back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going on the bus later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw First Potteries 67151 on a #23 to Hanley. Later on Matthew went downstairs to do his shopping. We set of onto City Road. After crossing over the road we turned right into Manor Street. At the end we turned left onto Victoria Road. Part way down Victoria Road. We turned left off Victoria Road and towards the supermarket. We saw grey minibus DG07 YKK at Aldi. In Aldi Matthew picked up his weekly shopping and we got a lucky Seven taxi back to the residential unit. We set off onto Victoria Road and we ran down to joiners Square. We crossed over the roundabout and we ran forwards onto Lichfield Street. We ran up to the ring road and we ran anti-clockwise around Hanley. We turned right onto the A50 and we ran Northwards through Cobridge into Burslem past Lidl supermarket. We turned right onto Federation Road. We got out of the taxi and we set off onto Federation Road and we turned right onto the A50 and we turned right onto Market Place and went to Wrights Pies and Matthew had a can of Coke and a millionaires shortbread. We walked to the end of Market Place. Matthew ate a sausage roll and we drank the can of Coke. When we had finished we walked back along Market Place. After we had finished in the pub we returned to the car to go back to Fenton. We set off along Wedgwood Street and we turned left onto Moorland Road. At Smallthorne rounsabout we went right onto the A5272 up to Sneyd Green and we ran southwards to the edge of Hanley. We ran clockwise around the ring road and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners square and we went right onto the A52. We ran into Stoke and we turned left onto City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room to chill out and watch buses before going out later on. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Newcastle. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car MM22 WHE parked up.

We stood at the bus stop outside the flats and we waited for a bus to Newcastle. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 112 on a #1 to Park Site.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre. We continued along Church Street onto Hartshill Road and into the centre of Hartshill. We turned left into the Avenue and left again onto Hilton Road before turning right into the City General Hospital. hospital. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we waited for a bus towards Hanley. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63146 on a #4 to Wereton. We walked out of the bus station onto Castle Walk and we visited H. Samuel. Matthew brought a 9ct Yellow Gold Twist Hoop Earrings. We walked up Castle Walk and we stopped at the wilko. Matthew brought a bold before continuing along Castle Walk. We continued onwards to the bus station and we saw First Potteries 67174 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on and booked to Keele before we went upstairs and we sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road we turned right onto Ryecroft. We veered left onto Merrial Street and after a brief stop we ran forwards onto Church Street. We crossed over the roundabout and we ran forwards onto the A525. We turned right into Orme Road and we saw St Giles And St George's academy MF68 AFJ. We continued along Orme Road before we re-joined the Westbound A525. We climbed the steep hill up to Keele and we turned left into the campus. We turned left onto University Drive we did a u-turn and headed into the campus. At the main roundabout we turned left and we ran around the shops and student union bar. We ran through the campus past the back of the library and out the other side into the village. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we decided to go back to Hanley on the double decker. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before going upstairs and sitting down. We set off through the campus We turned right onto University Drive and we ran up to the entrance of the campus before turning right onto the A525. We ran down the hill and we crossed over the roundabout. We went past the scrapyards and we turned left onto Orme Road. We ran through the estate and to the end of the road. We turned left onto the A525 and at the roundabout onto the Southbound A34. We ran down two roundabout and we went left onto Barracks Road. We entered the bus station and we pulled up on stand. After a short while in the bus station the bus set off out onto Barracks Road. We went Southwards on the A34 before turning into the hospital. We trundled through the hospital grounds and ran up to Hartshill Road via Hilton Road and The Avenue. We went down Hartshill Road into Stoke town centre. We went forwards onto Church Street and the bus topped in the town centre. After a brief stop we continued over the A500 and we got up and got off the bus just before the railway bridge. We walked up City Road and we cut across onto Smithpool Road and we stopped at the shop on the corner of Eddison Street. Matthew brought a can of Coke. We crossed over Smithpool Road and we continued up Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs to chill out and use his computer. For tea Matthew had pizza and chips followed by a Vienetta. Matthew spent time in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today in Blurton going to back to the residential unit later on. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. We got in the car and we set off onto the A5035. We ran into Trentham and we turned right onto the Northbound A34. We turned left onto Whitmore Road and we turned right onto Northwood Lane. We joined the Northbound A519 and we veered left onto Kingsbridge Avenue. We turned left onto Dartmouth Avenue. We turned right onto Sandon Avenue and we went around the square and picked up a friend. We continued onto The Plaisaunce and we turned right onto Abbotts Way. We joined the Northboubnd A519 and we ran down to Newcastle. We ran forwards onto Barracks Road and we saw First Potteries 67176 on a #11 to Hanley. We crossed the roundabout onto the A527 and we ran through Wolstanton before following the roiad to the right and down ro the reatil park. We ran up to Asda and parked up. We went around Asda and Matthew did his weekly shop. When we had finished we went out to the car and we saw white minibus X689 WRB.

We drove out of the reailt park and we turned left onto the A527. We followed the road to the left and we ran into Newcastle. We crossed the roundabout onto Barracks Road and we saw First Potteries 67147 on a #25 to Keele. We turned keft onto the Southbound A34 and we stopped to drop somebody off. We rejoined the A34 and we ran down to Trent Vale and stopped at McDonalds to pick up food. We carried on down the A34 into Hanford we saw Olympia Travel BV69 LMM. We continued into Trentham and we turned left onto the A5035. We ran over the canal and raileay line and into Blurton and back to the house. Matthew had chciken nuggets and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. We wrote some Blog and afterwards Matthew returned to the residential unit. We got in the car and we set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive where we saw white minibus EA07 LWW parked up. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road. We went through the traffic lights onto Heron Steeet. We carried on forwards onto Station Bridge Road we saw Ash to Adderley SF60 CNC. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned left onto Masterson Street and we saw Stafford & District Community Link DK05 ERU. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room and we put all his shopping in his cupboard or in the kitchen. Matthew had a can of Cherry Coke. Matthew chilled out on his computer and watched buses out of the window. we saw Afford rent-a-car HT22 KLW outside there yard.

For tea Matthew had sausage and potatoes followed by a cake bar. Matthew chilled in hos room for a while before we went out. Later on we went downstairs and we saw it was Shelton Care Group YP70 JYJ. We got on the bus and we set off onto Temple Street. We turned left onto Christchurch Street. and left onto City Road. We ran down the hill onto the A52 and we went under the railway line. We crossed over the A500 and we ran into Stoke and on the one way system. We followed the road onto Lonsdale Street and right onto Fleming Street. We turned right onto Campbell Place and we followed the road around back onto Church Street. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and edge the edge of Newcastle we ran onto George Street. We went forwards onto the ring road and we crossed the roundabout onto Ironmarket. We parked up and and we went to the pub. For dessert he had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. When we had finished we set off along Ironmarket to the High Street. We turned left onto Hassell Street and we walked past the bus station. We walked onto the ring road and past the new council building and into the park. After we had finished in the park we returned to the minibus. We returned to Fenton in Shelton Care Group YP70 JYJ. We got on the bus and we set off onto the roundabout and we turned right onto barracks Road. We joined the Southbound A34 and we ran down to Trent Vale. We turned left onto Harpfields Road and we went forwards onto Keelings Drive. We turned left onto London Road and we ran through Boothen into Stoke. We ran around the one-way system and onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and under the railway line into Fenton. We ran up City Road and we turned right into Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today was Christmas Eve, and as such we decided to stay local as the buses were finishing earlier. No research was done for the trip other than to check the weather for today, which was for many dry and sunny weather with a maximum temperature of 8'. Matthe got up just after 10:00 and had toast for breakfast. We got ready as quick as we could so that we could make sure we got home before the buses finished running for the day. We set off just before 11:00 and we walked all the way over to the bus stop on Magdalen Road to wait for a bus towards Newcastle. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 47519 on a #22 to Longton. A short time later we saw the bus turn the corner. It was as expected First Potteries 67172 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and booked a Smart Day ticket at £5.90. This ticket is a multi-operator ticket valid throughout the North Staffordshire area. We sat down ear to the back of the bus and the bus set off onto the A5035. We went past the Trentham Hotel we turned right into New Inn Lane where we would be on this bus to Stoke. We got up to get off the bus at the man in Space and Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67172 before it carried on to Newcastle.

We waited for the next bus to Stoke. Whilst we waited we were able to see the bus going in the other direction before it got to us. It was First Potteries 67151 on a #21 to Hanley.

Whilst we waited for the bus to run around the end loops we spotted the next bus to Longton was on it's way. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 65035 on a #22 to Longton.

The bus appeared from around the loop and it was as expected First Potteries 67151. We got on the bus and we placed our Smart Day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus travelled through Trentham up New Inn Lane, We passed the building site where new housing is being built. At the top of the hill we turned right into Hanford along Wilson Road. We ran down Mayne Street before joining the Northbound A34. We crossed under the A500 and we saw First Potteries 67154 on #21 turn to Trentham. We turned onto London Road and we ran through Oak Hill past the former Oak Hill pub. We continued through the the West End before running into Stoke Town centre and Campbell Place. There was nothing of interest parked up in City cabs and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67151 before it continued towards Hanley.

We walked along Campbell Place and we crossed over the road. As we turned into Church Street we saw D&G Bus 114 on a #1 to Meir. We headed into Stoke Cafe. Uncle Dave escorted Matthew downstairs to the toilet and I ordered the food. Matthew had a breakfast washed down with a can of Coke. After we had finished eating we walked down Church Street to the Newcastle bus stop. We saw the former Discount Fashion Direct which has now been sold. On the opposite side of the road we saw recent arrival First Potteries 35943 on a #25 to Hanley.

We looked on the map and we spotted another of the recent arrivals First Potteries 35945 on a #25 to Keele. Whilst we waited for the bus we were taken by surprise with another bus. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 44515 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Smart Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill and in the petrol station. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. We got in the bus station. Once off the bus we walked down to the bottom end of the bus station. We saw First Potteries 35945 on a #25 Keele.

Across the other side of the bus station there was a bus on stand heading through Longport. We walked over to the other side and we saw it was First Potteries 65035 on a #99 to Chell Heath.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Smart Day ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus driver spotted that Matthew like buses and he showed Matthew pictures of the Scania Omnicity's when they were brand new in the factory. We set off out of the bus station and onto Barracks Road. We crossed the Jubilee roundabout onto the A527 and headed through Wolstanton. As we travelled North up the road we passed First Potteries 67178 on a #99 to Newcastle. We turned right onto Porthill Bank and we we went down the hill and over the A500. We went through Middleport where we saw some goats in an enclosure by the road. We continued up the road and at Trubshaw Cross we went left onto Brownhills Road. We joined Tunstall High Street and at the top of the Road we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 65035 before it carried on towards Chell Heath.

We headed into Tunstall Cafe and Matthew went to the toilet whilst I ordered some food. Matthew had a slice of toffee cheescake washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and we crossed the road to catch a bus towards Hanley. Whilst we waited we saw First Potteries 63173 on a #3 to Crewe.

We got on the bus and we placed our Smart Day ticket under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We went down the High Street and we turned left into Williamson Street. We turned right into Scotia Road and we ran into Burslem town centre. We ran past the site of the new Kiln Gate Retail park and we continued into Cobridge and down into Hanley. We joined Hope Street and we ran forwards to Stafford Street. We ran past the taxi ranks and we saw Lucky Seven SF17 LBO. We continued past the Albion and the town Hall and we ran forwards onto Bagnall Street and into the bus station. Once off the bus Matthew went to the toilet. We headed towards the car park to get a few bus pictures. On the way we saw D&G Bus 106 on a #2 to Birches Head.

The bus waited for time before setting off out of the bus station. We went down John Street and onto Bethesda Street before we went across onto Marsh Street and then we turned right into Trinity Street. We turned left into Stafford Street and we continued forwards to Quadrant Road and we left Hanley along Town Road past the sight of the new Tesco Express store. We travelled through Sneyd Green and over Smallthorne roundabouts to Chell. At the roundabout we turned right and we ran down the A527 through Brindley Ford. We turned left to run through Brown Lees. We crossed over the A527 at Knypersley and we ran around through the housing estates of Biddulph before running into town via St John's Road, Colliers Way. We ran past the building site and we turned right up Wharf Road to the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 67180 before it returned to Hanley on the next #7A.

Once of the bus we walked around the corner onto the High Street past Sainsbury's to the The Royal Oak. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we went outside and we past the former pub The Swan which was a new restaurant. We headed back towards Wharf Road. We had a look at what was on the map and Matthew had a Flake whilst we waited for the bus. A short time later we saw D&G Bus 151 on a #9 to Clayton.

The bus set off onto the High Street and we turned left at the roundabout onto St John's Road. We ran around the estate and we crossed over the A527 and we ran down through Brindley Ford into Fegg Hayes. We turned left onto Oxford Road and we ran forwards into Chell Heath. We passed Matthew's old school site which is going to be a new sheltered housing site. We ran through Bradeley to the traffic lights. We turned right and we ran up the hill through Smallthorne and right again onto Ford Green Road past the pub which which is not going to be a new Wetherspoons pub. At the top of the hill we turned left onto the A5272 and into Hanley. We ran into town along Town Road and we crossed over the ring road. We turned right onto Quadrant Road and we went under the Intu Potteries shopping centre. We ran forwards onto Stafford Street and we passed the town hall. We ran along Bagnall Street and into the bus station. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus and Matthew used the toilet. Afterwards we headed across Lichfield Street and the ring road and we went to the Venus Fish Bar. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy washed down with a can of Coke. After eating tea we set off back towards the bus station. In the bus station we saw First Potteries 63034 on a #6 to Park Hall. We waited for a bus back to Newcastle. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 63113 on a #4 to Audley.

We got on the bus and we placed the Smart day ticket under the scanner before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and onto John Street. At the bottom of the road we turned right onto Bethesda Street. We turned left onto Broad Street and then we joined the clockwise ring road. At the end we turned left onto Etruria Road before going under the A53 onto Festival Way. We ran past Waterworld and we turned left onto Forge Lane past a new minibus building by the Brindley Farm pub. We looped under the A53 and we joined the Westbound A53. We crossed over the A500 at Etruria and and we ran up the hill into Basford where we saw First Potteries 67151 on a #4 to Hanley. We ran down hill to the edge of Newcastle and we got onto the one way system. At the jubilee roundabout we turned left onto Barracks Road before turning right into the bus station. We got up and we got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 63113 before it continued to Audley.

We werent quick enough and the bus pulled off the stand. There was another #22 due in 30 minutes. We decided to break up the journey and get another couple of buses in. A short time later we saw First Potteries 65031 on a #101 to Stafford.

We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and forwards onto the Southbound A34. We ran past the hospital into Trent Vale and under the A500 into Hanford where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 65031 as it continued towards Stafford.

We considered what to do next. The #22 wasn't due for another 20 minutes. We spotted that there was an Hanley bound #21 just around the coner in Hanford. We could do this up to the Black Lion and reduce the waiting time for the bus. A couple of minutes later the bus came around the corner out of Church Lane. It was First Potteries 67144 on a #21 to Hanley as expected.

We got on the bus and we placed the Smart Day under the scanner before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Mayne Street and we turned sharp right onto the Northbound A34. We ran under the A500 and we headed into Trent Vale. We turned right onto London Road and we got up and got off the bus outside of the Blacak Lion. Once off the bus we walked around the corner onto rge A34 and past the pub to the bus stop. We now only had 10 minutes to wait for the bus. A few minutes later the bus came out of Harplands Road. As it got closer First Potteries 63179 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we placed the Smart Day under the scanner for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along the A34 and we ran under the A500 into Hanford and we turned left onto Church Lane. We climbed to the top of the hill and we turned right onto Wilson Road. We turned left onto New Inn Lane and we ran into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Blurton. We passed the end of Stanley Matthew Way and we turned left onto Magdalen Road and right onto Finstock Avenue. We turned left onto Beaconsfield Drive where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took another picture of First Potteries 63179 before it continued towards Longton.

Once off the bus we set off on foot and back to the house. We chilled out on the computer and we started to write the Blog. We also downloaded the pictures from today. After about an hour we went to take uncle Dave back home. We got in the car and we set off through Burton and we ran along Beaconsfield Drive where we saw white minibus EA07 LWW parked up. We turned left onto Church Street and left onto Blurton Road. We crossed over the A50 and we ran into Heron Cross lights. We turned left onto Grove Road and we ran forwards onto Wheildon Road. We dropped off uncle Dave and we ran back up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We ran through Blurton and at the roundabout we veered right onto Church Street. We turned right onto the A5035 and back to Blurton. Later on we did some more of the Blog. We chilled out on the sofa until bedtime around 00:00... Mark
