Today we decided to do a local trip. The plan was to go local today and then go on another trip tomorrow. We checked the weather for today and it was for dry weather with some sunshine. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. I got home from work around 10:30 and we got ready to go out. We decided do catch the 12:21 departure towards Newcastle today. We set off on foot to the bus stop all the way onto Magdalen Road. Whilst we waited for our bus we saw First Potteries 67602 on a #22 to Longton. A few minutes later our bus appeared and it was First Potteries 41495 on a #22 to Newcastle.

We went the Jubilee roundabout onto the A53 and we saw Boultons YJ07 DVW going the other way. We stopped at the pub and parked up before walking through the car park where we saw green Volkswagen minibus R722 MVV.

R722 MVV in Newcastle
In the pub Matthew used the toilet and we found a table. Matthew had a burger & fries washed down with a glass of Coke. For dessert Matthew had a piece of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Once we had finished eating we returned to the car. We turned right onto the A53 and we ran down towards Newcastle. We went around the one-way system and we joined the A52. We ran up to Hartshill and we ran down into Stoke along Hartshill Road. We ran around the one-way system and back onto Church Street before crossing over the A500. We ran under the railway line and up City Road. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went back up to Matthew's room and we wrote some of the Blog for a short while. Just before 20:00 we said goodbye to Matthew and he chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched television until later on. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
