Today we decided to re-visit Bromsgrove. We had heard that that rain would be quite bad today so I did some research into the weather. A front was moving in from the South, and would be clearing in the afternoon. Based on information from the BBC weather site, I decided that it would be best to go South or West. We gave Matthew a choice of destinations from the Midlands and to the West and from the list he chose Bromsgrove. Matthew got up around 10:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. After getting ready we set off around 11:30. We had to got to the post office to pick up a parcel so we ran down to the A5035. We turned left and we went through Dresden we saw preserved PMT 766 attending a local fun day. We turned right onto Belgrave Road and we ran up the the roundabout. We continued onto Upper Belgrave Road and we turned left onto Spring Road and we turned right onto Bengry Road. We parked near to the mail depot and mum picked up her parcel. Once we had finished we turned right onto Alexandra Road and right onto Meir Road. We turned right onto Upper Normacot Road and we ran down to the A50. We got onto the Westbound A50 and as we travelled towards Stoke we saw Caledonian Travel LSK 507 and preserved routmaster SVS 618. At Sideway we turned left onto the A500 and we ran Southwards towards the motorway. We joined the M6 at junction 15 and we ran Southwards through Staffordshire. Seen on the M6 were an unidentified Terry's coach, an unidentified AFJ Travel coach, and unidentifed Simpson's coach, grey minibus BD19 OWO, Travel de Courcey MD20, Newbury Travel X15 NEW, white minibus P512 CAY, silver minibus SF67 HFK, an unidentified purple and white tri-axle ambulance coach, blue minibus FJ14 DAU, Bouden BF68 ZGL, Leon's 238 & E-zec patient transport YJ64 JUA. At junction 8 we veered left onto the sliproad and we joined the Southbound M5. Due to the roadworks we were delayed slightly. Seen on the M5 were grey minibus BP19 TPY / KU06 XXP, silver minibus AX13 PEX, Johnson's YJ11 ANR, Alfa 74, an unidentified G Line Holiday's coach and and unidentified Den Caney coach. We came off the M5 at junction 4 and we joined the Southbound A38. We crossed the M42 and we ran to the edge of town. We turned right onto Birmingham Road and we ran the last mile or so into town. We joined the A448 and we turned right onto Recreation Road and we turned left into the car park. Once we had parked up we headed across the road to chip shop. On the way we stopped at the bus station toilets. In the bus station was First Worcester 69453 on a #144 to Worcester.

As we headed up to the chip shop we saw Kev's of Bromsgrove KX64 AED on a #318 to Bromsgrove railway station.

We went into the Market Plaice and we met up with mum who had ordered the food and saved table. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy with a bap washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished eating we went outside and we said goodbye to mum. We walked over the road into the bus station and we saw Rotala Diamond 30946 on a #43 to Redditch and First Worcester 69460 on a #144 to Worcester.

We decided to catch the First bus to Worcester. We got on the bus and we brought Connecta County ticket at £8 each before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto the A448. We turned left onto Hanover Street and we continued onto Worcester Road. We continued South for a couple of miles and we joined the Southbound A38. passed Webbs of Wychbold. On the other side of the road at the lake opposite there was an open top Olympian parked up as a cafe and ice cream parlour. It was the former Regional Transport ope-top tour bus D251 FYM. We continued South and we passed through the village. Just South of Wychbold at the Holiday Inn Express we saw an unidentified white coach with a blue roof. We crossed under the M5 and we continued down the A38. We continued as far as the B4065 where we turned left. We crossed under the railway and we turned onto the Saltway. We turned left onto Saltway and we ran around the town centre before coming back in the other end along Ombersley Street East. At the stop in front of us was LMS Travel CX60 AED on a #20B town circular service. After a brief stop we continued onto Victoria Square and forwards onto St Andrews Road. We turned right onto Worcester Road and we ran Southwards down to the A38. We travelled through Copcut and Fernhill Heath and we ran into the North end of Worcester. We joined the A449 and as we travelled South we passed for Potteries bus First Worcester 42893 on a #36 to the Royal Hospital. We continued into the town centre and we went under the railway line. We turned right into Angel Street and we entered Worcester bus station for the first time. When we got to the bus station we let the bus empty and Matthew took a picture inside of First Worcester 69460 before we got off.

Once off the bus we had a look around the bus station. Across the way we saw LMS Travel Dart KP51 SXY on layover.

Another vehicle seen was First Worcester 35158 on a #44 to Red Hill.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Connecta County ticket to the driver. The top deck of the bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside First Worcester 35158 before we sat down.

The bus set off out of the bus station and we turned left onto All Saint's Road. We continued onto Deansway and past Worcester Cathedral. We continued onto London Road and we ran into Red Hill. At the roundabout we turned left onto Spetchley Road. We ran to the roundabout and afterwards we did a u-turn. The next stop was the end of the run, so we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew got another picture of First Worcester 35158 before it returned towards Great Malvern.

We walked along Spetchley Road back to the A44 where we were going to make a decision on what direction to go next. On the roundabout was a pub and Matthew decided to visit it. He went to the toilet and afterwards he had a small glass of Coke. When we had finished we went outside to meet up with uncle Dave. We walked to the nearest bus stop, but the stop was now out of use. Whilst there we saw Aston's coach YJ16 UTS heading Southwards down the A44.

We decided to go on towards Evesham, so we went around the roundabout to the bus stop that was in use. There was only a few minutes to wait at this point. After a very brief wait we saw a bus approaching. As it was in all-over white I wasn't sure it was the right bus at first. As it got closer we saw it had X50 in the front window. It was required on loan bus First Worcester 63391 on the X50 to Evesham.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Connecta County ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We crossed over the roundabout and we carried on along the A44 Red Hill to Whittington. We crossed over the M5 and we headed in a South Easterly direction out of town. We carried on for a further 3 miles or so into the hamlet of Stoulton. At this point we asked if Matthew want to get off here to get the other bus back and he decided he wanted to go on to Evesham. We ran towards Pershore and we passed First Worcester 63363 going to other way on the X50. At the edge of Pershore we turned right onto Three Springs Road. We turned left onto Defford Road and we ran around the South side of town. We followed Defford Road to the left and back Northwards. We turned right Broad Street and we stopped in the main street in town. Opposite us was Aston's MX11 EGU on layover to work a #564 to Evesham. After a brief pause we turned right into Bridge Street. We continued through Endon and Wick and throught to Hampton. We turned ran forwards onto Waterside and left onto Bridge Street and Northwards into Evesham town centre. We followed the road to the right onto Mill Street and we turned right onto Chapel Street. We passed Rotala Diamond 30167 on layover in between runs on the #247 to Redditch. We turned left onto Swan Lane and left onto High Street. We got up and Matthew took a picture inside First Worcester 63391 before we got off the bus.

Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of First Worcester 63391 before it returned to Worcester on the X50.

We visited a local papershop and Matthew had a can of Coke and a bottle of Fanta. He also brought a couple of chocolate bars. When we cam out of the shop we had a look around to see what we could catch. We realised there were only about 4 departures in the next hour, and nothing we could do and get back for the following X50! We had to turn down required Stagecoach Midlands 10729 which was on a X18 to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Matthew sat on the bench and ate a caramel Freddo and had a drink of Irn Bru. Whilst we waited for a suitable bus we saw required Henshaw's Solo NT55 JKJ, which was on a #553 to Honeybourne.

That bus wasn't due to depart until after 17:05. The only option left were to do a Rotala Diamond bus on the #247, an Aston's bus on the #540 for a few stops and finally First Worcester 63364 on the X50. Whilst we were waiting Matthew decided he wanted to go to the toilet. We went into pub and Matthew used the facilities upstairs. We came back down and Matthew had a small Coke. Once had finished the drink we went back outside and met up with uncle Dave. We saw Rotala Diamond 32307 arrive on the #247 to Redditch.

A few minutes later we saw required Aston's MX15 AFU on the #540 to Tewkesbury.

Matthew decided he wanted to do this bus so we got on the bus and we flashed the Connecta County ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down the High Street and we ran forwards onto High Street. We continued onto Abbey Road and we crossed over the River Avon. We continued onto Cheltenham Road and we got up and got off the bus at the next stop. Once of the bus Matthew took another picture of Aston's MX15 AFU as it continued towards Tewkesbury.

We watch the bus go Southwards and afterwards we walked back Northwards up Cheltenham Road to the crossroads. We turned left into Pershore Road and we walked to the next bus stop. We had a round 5 minutes to wait for the bus, which we had seen go past into town as we came over the crossroad. A few minutes later as expected the bus came over the bridge and turned right into Pershore Road. It was as expected required First Worcester 63364 on a X50 to Worcester.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Connecta County day tickets to the driver for the final time today before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Pershore Road and we ran through Hampton and Endon. We crossed over the river Avon and we ran into the East on or Pershore. We stopped in the square and turned left onto Defford Road. We follow the road around the South side of town and we turned right into Three Springs Road. We turned left onto the A4084 and we ran out of town. We ran throught Drakes Broughton and we passed First Worcester 63391 on the X50 to Evesham. As we travelled towards Worcester we arranged with mum to come and pick us up from the town centre. We passed through Stoulton and we headed towards the town and we crossed over the M5. We headed up the A44 through Red Hill and into the city centre. Just before the cathedral we turned right onto the A38 and we went further into town. We followed the A38 to the left and at the next junction we went straight on and into Angel Street entering the bus station. We got up and got off the bus. We spotted First Worcester 64042 on a #35 to Blackpole.

We walked inside the shopping centre and Matthew used the toilet. We took a few pictures inside the bus station, and we headed outside towards the arrange pick up point. On the way we took a few more bus pictures. We saw First Worcester 47514 on a #38 to the Royal Hospital.

We continued to the corner of The Butts. Across the car park we saw Go Goodwins C1 ECB and M&S Coaches YN15 DYY. We waited at the corner of the road and we saw First Worcester 47513 on a #34 Warndon circular service.

A few minutes later mum appeared in the car, we got in the car and there were sausage rolls and a bottle of Irn Bru waiting for Matthew. We set off along The Butts and we continued onto Shaw Street. We turned left onto The Foregate and we ran Northwards out of town. We forked left onto the A449 and we ran Northwards for a few miles. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A449 and we ran fast to the motorway. We joined the Northbound M5 and we ran through Worcestershire into the West Midlands. Travelling up the M5 we saw M5 an unidentified Davies Coaches coach in Frankley services, blue minibus BG58 AFE, Bouden BF61 HCX, red minibus AD56 JNK, Dunwood YN18 SUF and an unidentified white midicoach. We ran to the Northern end of the M5 and we joined the Northbound M6. Travelling up the M6 we saw Pheonix coaches YN06 NYN, King's Norton Coaches YN12 CSZ, Selwyn's (NX) BV67 JXS(#212) / BX16 CKA(540), an unidentified Robinson coach, an unidentified National Express liveried coach(#548), an unidentified A-Line coach, an unidentified Coach Tours & Travel coach and an unidentified Tour Rides coach. The matrix signs were diplaying that junction 15 of the M6 was closed, so e had ro come off the M6 at junction 14. We turned right onto the A34 link road and we ran to the North end of Stafford. We turned left onto the A34 and we ran North through Stone to Trentham. Seen on A34 were MT Travel BK14 GAO and an unidentified Scraggs(ex Johnson magic) coach. At Trentham we turned right onto the A5035 and we ran over the railway line into Blurton. We continued trhough Dresden and up to the edge of Longton. We joined the high level A50 and we turned into Edensor Road to see what was parked up at Z carz this evening. The spare ground had no buses on it as usual these day, so we turned left into Willow Row. we saw Z Carz Puegeot minibus YJ62 LSX near to the gates.

We turned the car around and we returned onto the A50. We ran up the Heron Cross and we turned left onto Blurton Road. We saw Lightning Travel R6 DLT parked at the Lightning house. We carried on down the hill into Blurton and we saw Lucky Seven SH57 NHU parked up at the garage. We ran through Blurton before turning right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfield Drive and we got home around 19:30. For a late tea we had bangers and mash with carrots followed by a shortbread biscuit. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some more of the Blog. Matthew went to bed around 01:00... Mark.
