Trip to Hanley / Basford 26-03-2018

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going out for tea with mum and dad later on later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw First Potteries 43876 on a #11 to Hanley. A few minutes later we saw D&G Bus 54 on a #1 to Meir.

Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre. At the day centre we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX parked outside.

In the morning we went on the bus to Hanley. We set off on foot onto City Road and we crossed over. We walked around the corner onto Victoria Road and we waited at the bus stop for a bus to Hanley. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 63175 on a #6A to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Victoria Road and we ran down the hill towards Joiners Square and at the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. We crossed over the ring road and at the stop outside the bus station we got up and got off the bus. We went into the bus station and we saw The Travellers Choice BX65 WCM on a #333 to Bournemouth.

Whilst we waited we decided to walk into town to visit Wright's Pies. We set off on foot onto Tontine Street and we walked up to the square where the pie shop was situated. From the shop Matthew had a Manchester Tart. We walked back down Tontine Street and we stopped at the Wetherspoons pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had a Chicken burger and fries followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Once we had finished eating we went up Tontine Street. We walked back to the bus station to catch a bus back to Fenton. A few minutes later we saw First Potteries 67638 on a #11 to Newcastle.

We decided to do First Potteries 32633 so we got on and booked to Fenton before we went upstairs. The top deck of the bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside First Potteries 32633 before we sat down.

We set off up Lichfield Street and we turned right into Birch Terrace. We followed the road around to the left onto Charles Street. At the top we turned right onto Old Hall Street before turning right onto the ring road. We turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. We crossed the roundabout onto Victoria Road and as we ran up into Fenton we passed Copeland's Tours MIB 229 which was running towards Hanley.

We continued up Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot up Victoria Road and we went sharp right onto City Road. We continued down to the day centre. Later on Matthew went in a car to Aldi to do his weekly shopping. We set off onto Glebedale Road and right onto City Road. We turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we stopped at Aldi. In the car park at Aldi we saw blue minibus CK56 RKN parked up.

We went into Aldi to pick up Matthew's weekly shopping. After a quick run around the supermarket, We got back on the car We ran back up Victoria Road and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left again onto Temple Street and into the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and wait for us to pick him up to take him out for tea. We saw Highcross House ET16 VXS going towards Heron Cross.

A few minutes later we turned up to take Matthew out for tea. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street where we saw Shelton Care Group SF14 AAJ. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill and under the railway line into Stoke. We crossed over the A500 and we went around the one-way system. We ran up the hill into Hartshill and we continued to the edge of Newcastle. We turned right into Albert Street and right onto the A53. We stopped at the pub and parked up. Matthew went to the toilet and then we found a table that overlooked the main road. Whilst we waited for the food to come we saw white minibus YK08 PVA, Harry Shaw YN15 ELX & Paul's of Stoke Y14 POS. For tea Matthew had a burger and fries as well as some of my chicken New Yorker! This was followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. When it was time to go we returned to the residential unit in the car. We turned left onto the A53 and ran through Basford down to Etruria. We turned left onto the A500. We came of the A500 in stoke and we turned left onto City Road. An we ran up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road where we turned right. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went up to Matthew's room and we wrote some of the Blog. Matthew also drank a can of Irn Bru. After doing a couple of entries I left and Matthew chilled out in his room watching television and using his computer. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. Matthew used his computer and watched music videos on the television. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going out on the bus to Stafford. It was also the day of the computer fair in The Dome Leisure Centre. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 67602 on a #11 to Hanley. Also we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX outside.

A short while later we set out onto City Road and we walked down to the stop outside the flats. On the way we saw Afford rent-a-car minibus MK67 UEN parked up near to their offices.

We stood at the stop to wait for next bus towards Newcastle. A short while later we saw First Potteries 67641 on a #11 to Newcastle. We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before sitting down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we ran down the hill over the old railway line to Leek and onto the A52. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 and straight into Stoke town centre along Church Street. After a brief stop in Stoke we continued along church Street and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran up the hill and into Hartshill. We ran forwards onto George Street and we ran down the hill into Newcastle. We turned left at the roundabout onto Barracks Road and into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Matthew took a picture of First Potteries 67641 before it returned to Hanley on the #11 service.

Once off the bus we walked along Hassel Street and we turned right onto Market lane. We went to McDonalds and Matthew had a cup of coke. After we had finished we returned to the bus station along Hassell Street. We waited for the next bus to Stafford. A short while later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 65039 on a #101 to Stafford.

We got on the bus and we booked to Stafford before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road. We ran Southwards onto the A34 and we ran down through Trent Vale and into Hanford. We continued down through to Trentham and then we got onto the fast section of the A34. We ran through Tittensor to Darlaston pas the Darlaston Inn which closed. We continued down the A34 to the North end of Stone. We Veered left onto Newcastle Road and we ran into Stone town centre. After going around the one-way system and onto Stafford Road. We crossed over the A34 onto Eccleshall Road. We turned left onto Tilling Drive and we ran onto the industrial estate. We saw former Western Greyhound minibus WK53 EUT. We rejoined the A34 at the roundabout where the A51 goes Eastwards and we ran Southwards through the fast section on the A34 to the A513 roundabout. We ran the last couple of miles into town down the A34 onto Foregate Street and we turned right onto Chell Road. We crossed the roundabout onto Tenterbanks and we turned right onto Victoria Road. We turned left onto Station Road and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we walkws South down Station Road and we turned left onto Newport Road. At the big roundabout we continued Southwards onto the A34. We walked down towards The Hough Retail Park and we stopped at the KFC for dinner. Matthew had a chicken fillet burger and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew went to the toilet and we set off back into Stafford town centre. On the way we saw Arriva Midlands 3911 on a #825 to Lichfield.

We crossed over the big roundabout onto the A518 and we turned right onto Bridge Street. We walk up into the centre of town and we out onto Chell Road. We crossed over into sainsbury's and Matthew used the toilet. We then walked along Chell Road and forwards onto Tenterbanks. We turned right onto Victoria Road and we went into the Park. Whilst we waited for the bus we wemt to the cafe in the park to get a drink of Coke. When we had finished we went out of the park onto Station Road to waited for the bus back to Newcastle. A few minutes later the bus appeared and it was First Potteries 65034 on a #101 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we gooked to Newcastle before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Station Road and at the end we turned left onto the A518. We ran around the South end of town and over the river onto Cope Street. We ran up Eastgate and along North Walls and into the Gaol Square bus station. We left the bus station onto the A34 and we ran Northwards to the edge of town. We continued up the fast section of the A34 to the edge of Stone and then we turned left onto the industrial estate. We ran around the estate and onto Tiling Drive. We turned right onto Eccleshall Road and we crossed the A34 onto Stafford Road. We turned left onto Crown Street and we stopped at the main stop in Stone. We ran North up Newcastle Road and we re-joined the Northbound A34. We ran Morth through Meaford and Tittensor and up into Trentham. We continued North through Hanford and Trent Vale and we past the City General hospital before going into Newcastle. We turned right onto Barracks Road and we entered the bus station from the South end. We got up and got off the bus and we saw First Potteries 67661 on a #4A to Hanley.

There was a short wait for the bus back to Fenton so we walked along Hassels Street to McDonalds. Matthew had a cup of Coke and then went to the toilet. We returned to the bus station along Hassell Street. A short while later we saw First Potteries 63175 on a #11 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sat down towards then back of the bus. We set off onto Barracks Road and we ran up to the Jubilee roundabout. We ran onto the A53 and around the one-way system onto the A52. We ran up George Street into Hartshill and we ran down the hill into Stoke town centre. After a brief stop we continued along Church Street out of Stoke and over the A500. We ran under the railway line and we continued onto City Road. At the top of the hill we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over City Road and we walked across to Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew wen up to his room to chill out and use is computer. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw former Wardle Transport & Arriva Midlands minibus YX53 CYZ going towards Longton.

For tea Matthew had chicken, potatoes and carrots followed by custard. later on Matthew chilled out in his room and used the comnputer and watched television. Matthew had a bath and had some toast for supper. He returned to his room to chill out and use the computer until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

We were picked up Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We sat down and continued down Victoria Road and we ran down the hill. We crossed over the roundabout at Joiners Square onto Lichfield street and we ran up the hill towards Hanley. We went around the ring-road and we got onto the A50. We ran through Burslem and around the back of Tunstall High Street past the police station. We re-joined the High Street and ran through Sandyford. We stopped at McDonalds and we went inside. Matthew had a plain Big Mac and fries washed down with a cup of Coke. Matthew then went to the toilet. One we had finished we continued to Kidsgrove on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We continued Northwards up the up the A50 through Goldenhill and down the hill into Kidsgrove. We stopped at Aldi and Matthew brought his weekly shopping. Once we had finished we returned to Fenton in a lucky seven taxi. we turned right onto Mount Road. We stopped again to pick up a service user and we continued onto Pennyfield Road and we ran up through Harriseahead and towards Mow Cop. We continued up to the Edge of Biddulph and we turned right onto the A527. We ran Southwards through Brown Lees and Brindley Ford and we followed the road through Knypersley and Fegg Hayes up to Chell. We turned left onto High Lane and we ran through Smallthorne. We continued through Sneyd Green and we entered Hanley along Town Road. We ran clockwise around the ring road and we turned left onto the A50. We ran down Lichfield Road down to Joiners Square. We continued onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill into Fenton. we ran through the private road on which the swimming baths are situated. At the end we turned left onto City Road and right into Smithpool Road. We turned left onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. For tea Matthew had white fish in parsley sauce with green beans followed by rhubard crumble and custard. Matthew returned to his room to use his computer and watched buses out of the window. We saw Lucky Seven PK08 GGE stopped across the road.

We went out and crossed over City Road. We were going to Biddulph and we saw it was Lucky Seven PK08 GGE. We got on the bus and we sat down. The bus set off along Manor Street and at the end we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran down the hill to joiners Squre and we went straight across the roundabout onto Lichfield Street. We joined the anti-clockwise ring roada and we ran around to the the A50. We went North to Cobridge and we turned right onto the A53. In Sneyd Green we joined the A5272. We went through Smallthorne Roundabout and Northwards up High Lane up to Turnhurst. We turned right onto the A527 and we ran down to Fegg Hayes. We ran up the hill into Brindley Ford and we continued through Brown Lees to the Southern edge of Biddulph. We turned right onto St John's Road and we turned right at the roundabout onto Church Street. We stopped at the youth centre and Matthew went in. Matthew went to the toilet and spent the evening patying away. Matthew had several glasses of Coke. When it was time to go home he returned to Fenton on Lucky Seven PK08 GGE. We got on the bus and we set off onto Church Road and we turned right onto Mayfield Road. We turned left onto Woodland Street and right onto Park Lane. We turned left onto the A527 and we ran through Brown Lees and into Brindley Ford. We followed the road down to Fegg Hayes and we ran up the hill to Turnhurst. We turned left onto the A5272 and we ran along High Lane through Smallthorne Roundabouts. We continued into Sneyd Green and Birches Head and we ran into Hanley along Town Road. Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going to Newcastle later on. It was the day Matthew found out about the Cardiff bus station start date after new deal. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Across the road we saw First Potteries 65002 on a #11 to Newcastle. At 09:00 we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre and we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

At the day centre In the morning Matthew went Children's centres in Normacot. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. We contunued up past KFC and we turned right onto the A50 link road. We joined the Eastbound A50 and we travelled through Longton to Notmacot where we came off the A50. We turned right and crossed over the A50 onto Upper Normacot Road and we turned right onto Chaplin Road. We turned right onto Buccluech Road and we stoipped at the children's centre. Matthew went to the toilet and went to the cafe and had a can of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Brampton Park on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Buccluech Road and we turned right onto Chaplin Road. In Florence we turned right onto Lightwood Road and we ran into Longton. We got onto the Westbound A50 and we ran down to Sideway. We turned right onto the Northbound A500 and we came off at Stoke. We turned left onto Church Street and we ran around the one-way system and forwards onto Hartshill Road. We ran through Hartshill and into Newcastle along George Street. At the Jubilee roundabout we turned onto the A527 and we went to the Brampton. We got off the bus and we went for a walk. When we had finished we went to Bradwell on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off up the A527 and we ran through May bank into Wolstanton. We continued into Bradwell and we stopped at the church. In the Church Matthew went to the cafe and had dinner. He had suasage chips and gravy followed by a cake. He also had a glass of Coke. When we had finished we returned to Fenton of Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off towards Wolstanton and we turned left onto Porthill bank. At the roundabout we turned right onto the Southbound A500. We ran Southwards through Etruria to Stoke and we came off the A500 onto City Road. We went under the railway line and up the hill into Fenton. We turned right into Smithpool Road and left into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and use the computer. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw D&G Bus 115 on a #1 to Meir.

Matthew changed the batteries in his camera. Matthew went out for a walk before tea. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left into Baker Street and we saw Z Carz KE03 JXC.

We continued onto Glebedale Road and we went to the doctors. We returned to the residential unit along Baker Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went out for tea and we saw it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Masterson Street and we ran to the end. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and at the end we turned left onto City Road. We ran down the hil into Stoke and we went under the railway line. We crossed over the A500 and we ran around the one-way system. We turned left onto London Road and we parked up at Sainsbury's. Across the road we saw City Cabs Depot. The is also a new building being built next to Maplins. We continued into Stoke along Campbell Place. We walked onto Church Street and we saw First Potteries 42554 on a #23 to Hanley. We walked down the road to The Wheatsheaf. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. For tea Matthew had a chicken burger and fries followed by a chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Highlights of the bus sightings included First Potteries 32635 on a #25 to Keele & Harry Shaw YR16 BLX going towards Newcastle. When we had finished we walked back to Sainsbury's. We returned to the residential unit on Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto the one-way system and we ran around Stoke onto Glebe Street. We turned left onto Church Street and we crossed over the A500 onto City Road. We ran under the railway line and we ran up into Fenton. We had to pick food up for someone else so we ran up to the roundabout and we turned right into KFC. After picking up the food we returned onto City Road before turning left onto Glebedale Road. We turned right onto Baker Street and left onto Christchurch Street. We went onto Masterson Street and we turned right onto Watkin Street. We turned onto Temple Street and back to the residentiual unit. Once back at the unit Matthew went upstairs to chill out in his room. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew also changed his Facebook picture to a Stoke-on-Trent welfare bus. Matthew got up and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting for time to got to the day centre Matthew spent time in his room watching buses. We saw First Potteries 63171 on a #11 to Hanley. Around Around 09:00 we set off on foot to the day centre. We walked onto Temple Street and right onto Christchurch Street. We continued along Christchurch Street and into the day centre. We continued to the day centre and we saw ABC Supreme SJ13 WYD.

In the morning Matthew went on the computers and did communication studies. For dinner Matthew had a cheese oatcakes followed by a Bakewell Tart. In the afternoon Matthew went trampolining in Abbey Hulton on Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto City Road. At the roundabout we turned sharp left onto Victoria Road and we ran down the hill to Joiners Square. At the roundabout we went straight across onto Lichfield Street. We turned left onto Regent Road where we stopped for a short while. We returned onto Lichfield Street We ran up the hill to the edge of Hanley and then we joined the anti-clockwise ring road and we turned right onto Bucknall New Road. At Limekiln lights we turned left onto the A5009. We ran under the old railway line to Leek and into Abbey Hulton. We turned right onto Abbots Road and we ran up to the sports centre. Outside the sports centre we saw Stoke-on-Trent city council LK17 DWD.

Matthew had a session on the trampoline and then he went to the toilet before having a drink of Coke. When we came out we saw Shelton Care Group BM17 HKX.

When it was time to return to Fenton we got aboard When it was time to go back we climbed back aboard Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX for the return journey. We set off onto Abbots Road and left onto Leek Road. We turned left onto the A52 and we ran to limekiln lights and we went across onto Bucknall New Road. We climbed the hill up to Hanley and we joined the clockwise ring road. we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We turned right onto Regent Road and we stopped for a short while. We rejoined the Lichfield Street and we ran down to Joiners Square. We ran over the roundabout onto Victoria Road and we ran up the hill. At the top we turned sharp right onto City Road. we turned left onto Smithpool Road and we turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and wait for tea. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw Wints NIL 8261 going towards Longton.

For tea Matthew had pizza and Chips followed by cheesecake. We saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX in the yard.

Later on Matthew went to the disco and transport to the venue it was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto Baker Street and left onto Glebedale Road. We crossed over City Road onto Manor Street and we ran ran to the end. We turned left onto Victoria road and we ran down the hill to Joiners sqaure. At the roundabout in Joiners Square we turned right onto the A52 and we ran into Bucknall. We went forwards onto the A5009 and through Abbey Hulton. We turned left into Birches Head Road and to our destination. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a drink of Coke. Matthew did some dancing until it was time to return to the residential unit. Transport back was Z Carz minibus YJ61 GYZ. We set off onto Birches Head Road and we turned right onto the A5009. We ran through Abbey Hulton and into Bucknall. We ran forwards onto the A52 and at joiners Square we turned left onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we turned right into Manor Street. We turned right onto City Road and then left onto Smithpool Road we saw Afford rent-a-car minibus MK67 UEO. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back he went up to his room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.

Today Matthew was in residential and he was going to his day service. He was also going to visit uncle Dave later on. The council have brought a new council house on Langland Drive. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. Whilst waiting to go to the day service we saw D&G 114 on a #1 to Meir.

Later on Matthew went to Bentilee. The bus for the journey it was Lucky Seven minibus VX63 WYK. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned left onto Chrsitchurch Street. We turned right City Road and we went forwards onto King Street. We ran through Foley and we under the railway line into Longton town centre. We ran up Market Street and we turned left onto Anchor Road. We ran up the hill to the top and ran down to the roundabout in Adderley Green. At the roundabout at the East end of Bentilee we turned right onto Beverley Drive and then left onto Dawlish Drive. We stopped at the childrens centre and Matthew went to the toilet. He had a can of Coke. We then continued to Upper Hulme of Lucky Seven VX63 WYK. We got on the bus and we set off onto Dawlish Drive. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Beverley Drive. At the end we turned right onto Dividy Road and we ran down the hill to Bucknall. We turned right onto the A52 and we ran up to Bucknall. At Bucknall we continued onto the A5009. We ran through Abeey Hulton and Milton and we joined the Northbound A53. We continued North through Endon. We ran through Longsdon and we ran into Leek. In the town centre we continued forwards onto the A53 and we ran out of town. We ran through Blackshaw Moor and then just after the Winking Man pub. Matthew went to the toilet and had a glass of Coke. For dinner Matthew had Ham Egg and Chips followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Went it was time to go we returned to Fenton on Lucky seven VX63 WYK. We got onto the Southbound A53 and we ran through Blackshaw Moor and into Leek. We ran South through Leek and continued along the A53. We ran through Longsdon and into Endon. We continued South Through Stockton Brook and down to Cobridge. At the lights we turned left onto Waterloo Road. We ran down to the ring Road and then we ran around Hanley before going onto Lichfield Street. We ran down to Joiners Square and we continued onto Victoria Road. We ran up to the top and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We ran down to Smithpool Road and we turned left. We turned left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out whilst he waited to go to uncle Dave's. He also watched buses out of the window. We saw Harry Shaw YN15 ELW going towards Stoke.

When it was time to go to uncle Dave's we set off onto Temple Street and at the end we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We went across the spare ground onto Willowdale Avenue and onto Whieldon Road and into uncle Dave's. Matthew had some cheesecake and a can of orange Tango. For tea Matthew had chicken potatoes and carrots. Later on he had another slice of cheesecake and a few digestive biscuits and custard creams. Uncle Dave now has a biscuit tin. Matthew chilled out in uncle Dave's house using his computer and watching television. Uncle Dave also did his DJ set. A couple of hours later staff came to escort Matthew back home. We set off onto Whieldon Road and we turned onto Willowdale Avenue. We crossed the spare ground and we turned left onto Smithpool Road. We turned right onto Temple Street past the new building under construction and back to the residential unit. Matthew went back to the room and went on his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
