Trip to Northampton / Kettering 16-04-2022

Today was the second day of our short break in Northampton. We woke up around 07:30 and we got dressed and ready to go down for breakfast. We had some toast and orange juice, followed by a full Emglish breakfast. After breakfast we returned to the hotel room to finish packing and we took our belonging down to the car. We said goodbye to mum and we walked onto Barrack Road and to the bus stop. As we approached the bus stop we saw the former Shearing Coaches BN17 JTZ heading towards the town centre.

A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was Stagecoach Midlands 28632 on a X7 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we booked Midlands Gold Dayrider tickets at £9.60 each before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Barrack Road and we rode the 1/2 mile or so to the edge of town. We ran forwards onto Broad Street and we turned right onto Lady's Lane. We turned sharp right onto Greyfriars and we entered the bus station from the North end where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look around to see what we might catch... As we had a around 7 hours today, we were going to try and go a little further than a normal Saturday afternoon jaunt. We walked out onto Bradshaw Street and we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18128 on a #16 to Ecton Brook.

We headed back inside the bus station and we saw Stagecoach Midlands 15835 on a X46 to Raunds.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before we went upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside Stagecoach Midlands 15935.

We set off out of the bus station onto Bradshaw Street and we turned left onto Sheep Street. We turned right onto Lady's lane and right onto Lower Mounts. We veered left onto the A4500 and we headed Eastwards out of town. We veered right to follow the A4500 and we ran past Abingdon Park. We turned left onto Booth Lane South and we headed Northwards. We turned right onto St Gregory's Road and right onto the Southbound A43. We came off the A43 near to Weston Pavell shopping centre and we turned right onto Billing Brook Lane. We had a brief stop outside the back of the shopping center before continuing Southwards. We re-joined the Eastbound A4500 and we continued out of town and through Ecton. We turned right onto Northampton Road and left onto West Street. We stopped briefly in the cemtre of Earls Barton before continuing Eastwards. We headed through The Square and onto Broad Street. We continued out of town and we joined the A45 and headed North Eastwards. At the edge of Wellingborough we turned lefy at the roundabout onto Wilby Way. We turned right onto the A5128 and we went past Sainsbury's and into Wellingborough. We turned left onto the one-way system and we turned right into Church Street to the interchnage where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we crossed over the road and we got a picture of Stagecoach Midlands 15935 before it continued towards Raunds.

Once off the bus we decided to have a quick drink and toilet stop. We also saw Stagecoach Midlands 11131 on a X4 to Northampton.

We headed around the corner onto High Street and we stopped at The Red Well. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke each. We sat and drank the coke for a few minutes before heading back out to meet up with uncle Dave. We walked back around the corner onto Church Street and we saw Stagecoach Midlands 34425 on a W1 Wellingborogh town circular service.

We don't seen may Darts these days, so we decided to do this bus. We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before. The bus was empty so Matthew took a picture inside Stagecoach Midlands 34425 before sitting down towards the back of the bus.

We set off out of the interchange and around the one way system. We turned right onto Alma Street and right onto Cannon Street. Following the one-way system around we turned right onto Cambridge Street and left onto Market Street. We turned left onto Midland Road and right onto Castle Way. We Crossed over Swanspool Brook and we turned right onto London Road. We ran forwards onto Sheep Street and we turned left onto the A5128. We ran out of town for about 1/2 mile and we turned right onto Queensway by the Swedish Kitchen. We turned left onto Shelley Road and we headed Northwards. We ran past the park and we turned right onto Sywell Road. We turned left onto Queensway and we headed back Southwards. We turned right onto Burns Road and we turned right onto Goldsmith Road. We turned left onto Longfellow Road and we ran towards the Western end, where we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road and Matthew got another picture of Stagecoach Midlands 34425 as it returned back to Wellingborough on the W1 service.

Once the bus had gone we walked around the corner onto Shelley Road and we waited for the next service. We had about 15 minutes to wait for the bus. Matthew chilled out sitting on the grass and had a can of Orange fanta and a Crunchie. A short time later we saw the bus approaching and we saw it was Stagecoach Midlands 35180 on a W1 to Wellingborough.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off along Shelley Road and we headed Northwards. We ran past the park and we turned right onto Sywell Road. We turned left onto Queensway and we headed back Southwards. We turned right onto Burns Road and we turned right onto Goldsmith Road. We turned left onto Longfellow Road and we ran towards the Western end and we turned left onto Shelley Road. We turned right onto Queensway and we ran to the end before turning left onto the A5128. We ran the 1/2 mile or so into town and we turned left on to turned left onto High Street and right onto Church Street and into the Interchange where we got up and got off the bus. We crossed over the road and Matthew took a picture of Stagecoach Midlands 35180 before it worked the W2 Wellingborough circular service.

We crossed back over the road and we decided to carry on Northwards. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching it was Stagecoach Midlands 11131 on a X4 to Corby. We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. The bus set off out of the interchange and we turned left onto Park Road. We turned left onto Gold Street and we turned right onto the Northbound A5193. We ran Northwards out of town and we joined the A509. We ran through Great Howden and Isham and we saw the Weetabix factory on the other side of the valley near to the Midland main line. We crossed over the A14 and the Midlands main line and we headed into town. We ran ther last mile or so up London Road and we entered Ketting Inyterchange which was in Horsemarket, a square in the centre of town. We got up and got off the bus and Matthew got another picture of Stagecoach Midlands 11131 before it continued Northwards to Corby.

The original plan was to find a chipshop and eat chips in the square watching the buses, but Matthew decided he needed the toilet. Just off the square was Frydays which was a chips shop and cafe. Matthew went to the toilet and I ordered the food. He had chips and sausage with a couple of rounds of bread and butter, washed down with a can of Coke. When we had finished we headed back onto the square to see what we could catch. We saw Stagecoach Midlands 36843 on a #19 to Corby.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off Northwards from the interchange and we ran forwards onto Silver Street. We turned left onto the A4300 and we headed Weatwards out of town. We joined the Westbound A14 and we ran from junction 7 to junction 4 before turning Northwards into Rothwell. We ran through the town and continued Northwards up to Desborough. We turned right onto High Street and left onto Dunkirk Avenue. We passed Stagecoach 36844 on a #19 to Kettering. We turned right onto Ise Vale Avenue and left onto Broadlands. At the end of the road we turned right onto Rushton Road and we headed towards Rushton. We ran forwards onto Desborough Road and close to the railway before making a sharp right turn. We turned left onto Station Road and as we headed though the village and we turned left onto Oakley Road. We continued North Eastwards past the landfill site and we crossed the A6003. We continued along Oakley Road and we turned right onto Lyveden Way. We turned left onto Butland Road and left onto Oldland Road. We rejoined Oakley Road and we continued North Eastwards. We ran forwards onto Elizabeth Street and we turned left onto Alexander Road. We turned left onto George Street and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we saw Stagecoach Midlands 19083 on a #2 to Kettering.

We decided to go for a bit of a walk through the centre of town. We headed down corporation Street and we turned left onto a pedestrrian walkway by Betfred. We turned right and walked to the end and we stopped at the Corby Candle pub. Matthew went to the toilet and afterwards we had a glass of Coke each. Once we had finished we headed back up the pedestrain walkway to Lloyds bank and we used the cash machine. We walked up Corporation Street to George Street and we had a look at the bus that were about. We saw Stagecoach Midlands 34835 on a #1 to Poets.

We decided to wait for a bus to get us back to Kettering so we could start to head back towards Northampton. We waited at the end stop for an X4 service. Whilst we waited we saw Centrebus 397 ona RF1 service to Oakham. A short time later the bus appeared. It was Stagecoach Midlands 11128 on a X4 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off along George Street and we crossed over the roundabout onto Jubilee Avenue. We turned right onto Gainsborough Road and we headed out of town. We turned left onto Danesholme Road and right onto Oakley Road. We turned left onto the Southbound A6003 and we had a fast run towards Kettering. We joined the Southbound A43 and on the edge of town we ran forwards onto Rockingham Road. We turned left onto Eskdaill Street and we stopped brief at a small bus terminal. We rejoined Eskdaill Street and we ran forwards onto Victoria Street. We continued onto Queen Street and we entered Horsemarket from the Eastside and ran around the square to the stop on the South Western corner where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had already worked out that there was an X10 to Northmpton due off in a few minutes. Whilst we waited for this to be readied for service we saw Stagecoach Midlands 22834 on a #50 to Bedford.

In the opposite corner of the bus station was the bus we wanted. It was Stagecoach Midlands 15608 on a X10 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver. The lower saloon was empty so matthew took a picture inside Stagecoach Midlands 15608 before we went upstairs.

When we got upstairs the top deck of the bus was empty too, so Matthew took another picture inside Stagecoach Midlands 15608 before we sat down.

When it was time to depart we set off Northwards out of Horse Market. We turned left onto the A4300 and we ran Westwards out of town. We continued to the North West corner of town and we turned left onto Gypsy Lane. We headed Southwards and we turned right onto the A6013. We ran down to the main road and we went straight over the roundabout onto the A43. We ran South Westwards for just over a mile and we turned left onto Kettering Road to run through Little Cransley. We rejoined the Southbound A43 and we had another fast run Southwards. At the very edge of Northampton we turned right onto Park View. We veered right onto Overstone Road and we ran into Moulton. We ran forwards onto Northampton Lane North and we ran forwards onto Northampton Lane South. We turned left onto Manning Road and we followed the road to the left. We turned left onto Moulton Way and we ran into Boothville. We crossed over the roundabout and we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus matthew took another picture of Stagecoach Midlands 15608 as it continued towards Northampton.

Once off the bus we walked over to the Lumbertubs PH to use the toilet and have a drink. We used the facilities and afterwards we had a glass of Coke each. When we were finished we went outside to wait for another bus towards Northampton. A few minutes later we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18151 come around the corner from Lumbertubs lane on a #2 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Midlands Gold Dayrider ticket to the driver for the final time today before we went upstairs and sat down. We set off down Kettering Road and we travelled down Spinney Hill and into the edge of Northampton. We joined the A4500 on the edge of the centre of town and we turned right onto Lower Mounts. We turned left onto Wellington Street and we ran forwards onto Greyfriars. We turned left and we entered the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk around to take a few more pictures before we left town. We saw Stagecoach Midlands 18198 on a #1 to Rectory Farm.

Mum had moved the car to a car park on the South Western corner of town an few hundred yards from the bus station. We set off along Horsemarket, and we went down the road we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18403 on a #9 Duston circular service.

We walked down to the Commercial Street car park and mum was waiting for us. Before we set off we ate the sandwiches that we had bought the night before. Matthew had a chicken and bacon sandwich washed down with a bottle of Irn Bru. When we had finished eating we set off onto Commercial Street and onto the A5123. We went around a one-way system and we headed back Northwards along the A5123. We joined the A4500 and we ran past the railway station. We continued along the A4500 for around 5 miles until we reached the motorway. We joined the Northbound M1 and we ran up to the start of the M6. Travelling back up the M1 we saw an unidentified Grey, an unidentified TNS, Clarkes BV69 KRO(#590) and an unidentified blue and white minibus. We joined the Northbound M6 and we ran through the West Midlands. On the M6 we saw an unidentified Belle Coaches coach, blue minibus BD70 AXY, an unidentified KB Coaches coach. As we were getting close to junction 10A Matthew decided he needed the toilet, and I need a short break too. We stopped at Hilton Park services and as we arrived we spotted a coach parked up. We saw Globus BU18 YRJ.

We went to the toilet, and when we came back out another cpoach had arrived. It was Leons Coaches 236.

We got back into the car and we continued North tio junction 15 where we came of the motorway and onto the A500. Continuing up the M6 we saw an unidentified Johnson coach, an unidentified Birmingham International coach, an unidentified Beeline Mercedes minibus, white midi coach YD19 ???, an unidentified Expressway coach, an unidentified Berry's coach, Deeper Life Bible Church GR57 XEV, at least 4 unidentified Sanders of North Norfolk coaches, an unidentified Keepings Coaches coach, an unidentified Laugharne Travel coach, 2 unidentified Adventure Travel coaches, an unintended Horseman coach and and an unidentified Edwards double decker coach with a sloping front.We ran up to Sideway and we turned right onto the Eastbound A50. We came off the A50 at Meir and we turned left onto Weston Road. Mum needed to pick something up. We turned left into Denehurst Close so we could turned around, and we saw Travel Express ML08 ODU parked up on the corner of The Grange.

We stopped to pick something up, and once we had finished we headed back down Weston Road to the centre of Meir. At the roundabout we turned right onto the A50 and we went Westwards to Heron Cross. As it was late we decided to drop uncle Dave off home first. We turned left onto Grove Road and we ran into Fenton. We dropped off uncle Dave's house. Matthew used the toilet and afterwards drank some of uncle Rob's pop. We set off onto Wheildon Road and we ran forwards onto Grove Road. We turned right onto Blurton Road and we crossed over the A50. We continued through Blurton and we turned right onto Church Road. We turned right onto Beaconsfiels Drive and we got back to Blurton around 19:50. Matthew chilled out on his computer and we did some of the Blog. a bit later on mum's new minibus was dropped off and we decided to go up to Grandma's and show her, and to also get some fuel. We set off onto the A5035 and we headed Towards Trentham. We turned right onto the A34 and we headed through Hanford and under the A500. We continued into Trent Vale and Newcastle. We turned right onto The Avenue ans left onto Parkstone Avenue. We stopped outside of Grandma's house and we talked to her for a few minutes. Afterwards we headed down Victoria Street and we saw white minibus YX02 FTD. We turned left onto the A34 and we headed into Trent Vale. We stopped at the Tesco Petrol station before filling up and re-joining the Southbound A34. We went into hanford and under the A500 and continued into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we headed into Blurton and back home. We also wrote a few emails and generally used the computer to entertain ourselves. We watched TV and Matthew got ready for bed. Trip to Northampton / Rectory Farm 15-04-2022

Today Matthew was coming out of the residential unit for the weekend and we were going to Northampton. Research for the trip iincluded downloading a local Stagecoah Northampton bus map, checking out tickets we were going to use over the next two days and checking the weather, which was for warm sunny weather for both days. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast and orange juice for breakfast. He chilled out in his room in the morning and waited for us to come to collect him. Whilst waiting we saw Shelton Care Group SH71 KMZ outside. Mum and I appeared around 12:00 and Matthew went downsrairs and got in the car. We set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill into Stoke. We ran under the railway line and over the A500 onto Church Street. We followed the one-way system arouns Stoke and we turned left onto London Road. We stopped at Sainsbury's for diesel before continuing along London Road through Oakhill to Trent Vale. We stopped at the pub and we had dinner. Matthew had 2 sausage chips egg and beans with bacon and oatcakes washed down with a glass of Coke. For afters he had toffeee sponge pudding in ice cream. Highlights of the bus sighting included First Potteries 69151 on a #22 to Longton and 65030 on a #101 to Hanley. Once we had finished eating we set off to pick up uncle Dave. We ran down the A34 and we joined the Northbound A500. We came off the A500 and we turned right onto the A50. We came off the A50 at Heron Cross and we dropped down into Fenton to pick uncle Dave. We turned around and ran up Wheildon Road and forwards onto Grove. We turned right onto Blurton Road and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. We continued along the A50 through Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter. We continued Eastwards to the M1 and we got onto the Southbound M1. We ehaded South through Leicesterxhire and into Northamptonshire. As we travelled Southwards we saw Flixbus BV19 LLW, Alfa 91, white minibus CN20 DYJ and National Express 325(A1). A few miles before we got to Northampton I was feeling a little tired so we stopped at Watford Gap services. Matthew went to use the facilities and on the way back to the car we saw. We had a quick drink and a snak in the car before setting off and rejoining the Southbound M1. We came off the M1 at junction 16 and we joined the Eastbound A4500. As we travelled Eastwards we saw patient tramport minibus YJ21 GPV and Stagecoach Midlands 15667 on a D3 to Daventry. We continued into the edge of the town and we turned left onto the Eastbound A428. We crossed over the railway line North of the station and we turned left onto the A5095. We turned right onto Barracks Road and we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18152 on a #4 to Sunnyside. We travlled for about 1/4 mile and we reached the hotel. We turned down a tiny back alley and we headed to the car park at the back of the hotel. Once we had parked up mum went to sort out booking in and the rest of us chilled in the car before going up to our rooms. We set up the computer and we had a rest for around an hour before going out to do a few buses. We went onto Barracks Road and we walked to the nearest bus stop. We didn't have to wait long before we saw a Stagecoach bus approaching. As it got closer we saw that it was Stagecoach Midlands 37041 on a #14 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we booked Northampton Day Rider tickets at £4.20 each before sitting down towards the back of the bus. We set off down Barrack Road and we rode the 1/2 mile or so to the edge of town. We ran forwards onto Broad Street and we turned right onto Lady's Lane. We turned sharp right onto Greyfriars and we entered the bus station from the North end where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a walk around to see what could be see. Whilt taking picture of the buses inside the bus station is difficult, buses can be photographed from either end of the bus station. We walked onto King Street and we saw Stagecoach Midlands 15405 on a #10 to Kettering.

We walked back into the bus station to see what we might be able to catch. We saw Stagecoach Midlands 15844 on a #2 to Rectory Farm.

We decided to do this bus so we got on and flashed the Northampton Day ticket to the driver before we went upstairs. The rear of the top deck was empty, so Matthew took a picture inside Stagecoach Midlands 15844 before we sat down.

We set off out of the bus station onto Bradshaw Street and we turned left onto Sheep Street. We ran onto Lady's Lane and we saw Chalfont Coaches (NX) BV67 JZA parked up on a nearby Street. We turned right onto Lower Miounts and left onto the A4500. We veered left onto the A5123 and we ran past The Racecourse and The White Elephant. We ran past Morrisons and up Spinney Hill to The Lumbertubs pub where we turned right onto Lumbertubs Lane. We turned right onto the A43 and left onto Billing Brook Lane. We turned left onto Crestwood Lane and we ran through a large housing estate. We turned left onto Lings Way and right onto Goldling Road past PeeJay Cocktails Fruits which is temporarily closed. We turned left onto Blackthorn Road and left onto the Northbound A5076. We ran up to the roundabout and we retirned back South before turned left onto Rectory Farm Road where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Mattehw took another picture of Stagecoach Midlands 15844 before it returned on a #2 to Northampton

Once off the bus we didn't have to wai for very long before another bus appeared. It was Stagecoach Midlands 10731 on a #1 to Northampton.

We got on the bus and we flashed the Northampton Day Rider ticket to the driver. The lower saloon was empty so matthew took a picture inside of Stagecoach Midlands 10731 before we went upstairs.

We set off along Rectory Farm Road and we at the end we turned right onto the A5076. We turned left onto Blackthorn road and we turned left onto Goldling Road. We turned left onto Lings Way and right onto Crestwood Road. We ran to the end and we turned left onto Billing Brook Road. We crossed over the BIlling Brook and we went down the back of the Weston Pavell retail park to a small bus interchange where we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18127 on a #5 to Southfields and 18149 on a #1 to Rectory Farm. Wew turned right onto the A4500 and we ran Westwards. We ran for about 2 miles or so to the edge of Northampton and we veered right onto Lower Mounts. We veered left onto Wellington Street and we ran forwards onto Greyfriars. We past the Mayorhold car park and we turned left into the bus station where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we had a look what we could do to get back to the hotel. We spotted Stagecoach Midlands 28629 which was on a X7 to Market Harborough.

The Market Harborough service wasn't due to go for quite a will, so we had a walk around. We saw Stagecoach Midlands 10727 on a #7 to Moulton Park.

A few minutes later we saw Stagecoach Midlands 18152 come into the bus station on a #4. We walked into the bus station and Matthew got a picture of Stagecoach Midlands 18152.

This was another service we could do Northwards past the hotel, so we decided to catch this bus instead. We got on the bus and we flashed the Northampton Day Rider ticket to the driver for the final time today before we went upstairs and sat down. The bus set off out of the bus station onto Bradshaw Street. We turned left onto Sheep Street and left onto Greyfriars. We turned right onto Horse Market and we ran forwards onto Broad Street. We continued onto Barracks Road and we ran for about 1/2 mile where we got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus Matthew took another picture of Stagecoach Midlands 18152 as it continued towards Sunnyside.

Before we crossed over the road, we spotted Stagecoach Midlands 28624 on a X7 to Northmapton.

We crossed over the road and we headed into the hotel. We went up to the room for a few minutes, then we decided to go out and get some supper. We had spotted a decent looking chip shop whilst out on the bus so we decided to drive up to there. We got in the car and we headed out of the car park onto Barracks Road. We veered left onto Campbell Street and through Campbell Square. We continued onto Upper Mounts and we veered left onto At Michael's Road. We turned left onto the A5123 and we headed North Eastwards out of town. We ran to the top of the hill and we stopped at the chip shop. Matthew had sausage chips and gravy and we ate the chips in the car. This was the first location that I have seen Starship food delivery robots. Once we had finished eating we decided to do some food shopping for the trip out tomorrow. We set off onto the A5123 and we ran down the hill towards Northampton town centre. We travelled for about 600 metres and we turned right into Morrisons. We parked up and we went in the shop. We brought sandwich meal deals for tomorrow as well as a few other bits and pieces. We got back in the car and we set off down the A5123. At The White Elephant we turned right onto the A5095 and we turned left onto Barracks Road and back to the hotel. After parking up around the back we went up to the rooms to settle down. We had a chocolate bar and a drink of Fanta Orange, and Matthew chose a Toffee Crisp. We wrote an e-mail and did some work on this Blog, before settling down to bed around 00:30... Mark

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going to his day service. Matthew was also going to Northampton later on. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the day centre, we saw Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU.

Across the road we saw First Potteries 65040 on a #11 to Newcastle. we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Christchurch Street and to the day centre and we saw Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX.

Matthew went out for the day to Northampton. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group DY08 FFX. We got on the bus and we set off onto Christchurch Street. We turned right onto Masterson Street and we ran to the end. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and at the end we turned left onto City Road. We turned left onto the A500 and at Sideway we got on the eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and Meir. We continued along the A50 through Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter. We continued Eastwards to the M1 and we got onto the Southbound M1 at junction 24A. We ran Southwards through Leicestershire and into Northamptonshire, and we came off the M1 at junction 16. We ran Eastwards along the A4500 and into the town centre. We parked up at the car park inside the ring road and we walked through town to Drapery. We turned left and headed up the street to the Irish pub. Matthew went to the toilet and following that had a glass of Coke. For dinner he had A southern fries chicken burger and fries followed by a toffee sponge pudding and ice cream. When we had finished we walked back to the car park. We returned to Fenton on Shelton Care Group DV10 JCU. We set off out of the car park onto the A4500 and we ran the few miles up to the motorway. We got onto the m1 at junction 16 and we went Northwards. We ran through Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and we came off the motorway at junction 24A onto the Eastbound A50 and we ran down towards Uttoxeter. We by-passed Uttoxeter and we continued along the A50 to the edge of Blythe Bridge. We continued along the A50 through Meir and Longton and We ran down to Heron Cross and we came off the A50. We ran along Heron Street and forwards onto Station Bridge Road. We ran forwards onto Glebedale Road. once we got back we returned to the residential unit. We walked onto Christchurch Street and down Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out on his computer and watch buses out of the window. We saw Lucky Seven SJ13 DLE going towards Stoke.

Later on Matthew went out for tea in Smallthorne in an ABC Supreme taxi. It was ABC Supreme HV18 GVR. We got on the bus and we set off onto temple Street and we turned left onto Christchurch Street. We turned left onto City Road and we ran down the hill and we turned right onto the A52. We ran past the railway station and on towards Joiners Square. At the roundabout we turned left onto Lichfield Street and we ran up the hill to the ring road. We went anti-clockwise around town and we turned right onto Waterloo Road. We ran through Cobridge up to Burslem and we turned right onto Moorland Road. We ran to the top of the hill and we turned into the pub. Matthew went to the toilet and then had a glass of Coke. Matthew had a mixed grill burger for tea followed by sticky toffee pudding. when it was time to go home we returned on an ABC Supreme taxi. It was ABC Supreme HV18 GVR again. We got on the bus and we set off onto Moorland Road and we ran down the hill into Burslem. We turned left into Waterloo Road and we ran through Cobridge. At the end we turned left onto the ring road. We went clockwise around Hanley and we turned left onto Lichfield Street. We ran down the hill to Joiners Square and we crossed over the roundabout onto Victoria Road. We ran up the hill and we turned sharp right onto City Road. We turned left onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to chill out and use his computer. Later on Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark.
