Trip to Hanley / Longton 21-01-2025

Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Matthew got ready to go to Newcastle. We went downstairs and we and we cut through onto City Road to wait a bus to Hanley. At the Afford garage we saw Afford rent-a-car MW24 FVT parked up. We walked down to the bus stop outside the flats. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 67156 on a #23 to Hanley. We got on the bus and we booked to Hanley before we sat down towards the back of the bus. The bus set off down City Road and we joined the A52 and ran under the railway line. After crossing over the A500 we ran into Stoke town centre along Church Street. We turned right onto Shelton Old Road. We ran forwards onto Stoke Road. We got up and got off the bus. Once off the bus we set off on foot on the road at the back of Beresford Street. We turned left onto College Road and we went into the Zagros store and Matthew had a bottle of Coke. We went outside onto College Road and we went into Hanley Park for a while. We walk northwards through the park and into the North West corner to the sensory play area and we walked back to the South East corner of the park. We set off on foot along College Road and we continued onto Regent Road and we turned left onto Lower Bethesda Street. We turned right onto the ring road and we continued along the ring road to the bus station. Matthew visited the toilet. A short time later we saw First Potteries 63103 on a #38 to Kidsgrove. A short time later we saw a bus come on stand. It was First Potteries 35935 on a #25 to Keele.

We got on the bus and we booked to Newcastle before we went upstairs and we sat down. We set off out of bus station and onto John Street. We turned right onto Bethesda Street and left onto Broad Street. We ran down the hill and over the ring road onto Snow Hill Before we turned left onto Avenue Road. At the roundabout we turned right onto College Road. We ran down though Shelton along College Road. We turned left onto Station Road and we past the railway station. We ran forwards onto the A52 and we ran alongside the railway line before turning right onto City Road. We crossed over the A500 and we ran into Stoke centre along Church Street. We went out of the other side of Stoke and up Hartshill Road into Hartshill. We turned left into The Avenue and we ran down to Hilton Road and we turned right into the hospital where we ran through the hospital and we turned right onto the A34. We ran up to Newcastle and forwards onto Barracks Road at the roundabout. We came into the bus station we got up and got off the bus. Matthew went to the toilet and went back to the bus station to wait for a bus to Hanley. Once off the bus we set off onto Hassell Street and we turned left onto High Street and we visited Poundland. Matthew brought a can of Coke. We continued along High Street and we turned right onto Ironmarket and right onto Castle Walk and we stopped at the Coffee House. Matthew brought a jam filled shortbread biscuit. Matthew went to the toilet and we continuing along Castle Walk and into the bus station. Matthew used the toilet and we saw First Potteries 35932 on a #25 to Hanley.

As it got closer we saw that it was First Potteries 67142 on a #22 to Longton.

We got on the bus and we booked to Longton before we sat down towards the back of the bus. We set off out of the bus station onto Barracks Road and we ran Southwards onto the A34. We turned left into the hospital and we ran through the the grounds. We turned right onto Hilton Road and forwards onto Harpfields Road. We ran to the end and we turned left onto the Southbound A34. We ran under the A500 into Hanford and we turned left onto Church Lane. We climbed to the top of the hill and we turned right onto Wilson Road. We turned left onto New Inn Lane and we ran into Trentham. We turned left onto the A5035 and we crossed over the railway line into Blurton. We passed the end of Stanley Matthew Way and we turned left onto Magdalen Road. We turned right onto Finstock Avenue and left onto Beaconsfield Drive and we continued along Beaconsfield Drive and we ran through the estate to the other end. We turned left onto Church Road and at the the roundabout we turned left onto Blurton Road. We ran to the bottom of the hill and we turned right onto Longton Hall Road. We ran up the hill and we ran forwards onto Heathcote Street. We turned left onto the high level A50 and at the roundabout we turned right onto Baths Road. We ran past Tesco before turning right into Longton Interchange. Once off we walked onto The Strand and we walked to the bus stop. We waited for a bus towards Fenton. A few minutes later we saw a bus approaching. As it got closer we saw it was First Potteries 44514 on a #6 to Hanley.

We got on the bus and we booked to Fenton before we sitting down. The bus set off down The Strand. After a brief stop we ran down under the railway bridge onto King Street. We ran down through Fenton and forwards onto City Road past the new petrol station and coffee shop. We turned right into Victoria Road and we got up and got off the bus. We walked down City Road and we turned right onto onto Glebedale Road and we walked along Baker Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street. We returned onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. When Matthew got back we went upstairs and went up to his room to chill out and use the computer. Matthew also watched buses out of the window. Later on we went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we saw Z Carz WU67 UJC. We continued walking down to The Range and we did some shopping. Matthew brought a bottle of Coke. Once we had finished we walked back out onto City Road We then walked up the hill and we turned right into Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went up to his room to use his computer and watch buses out of the window. We went downstairs and we set off onto City Road and we crossed over onto Manor Street for We stopped at the Fenton Community Hall and Matthew went to the toilet. Afterwards we had a drink of Coke. Matthew had a burger and fries. After we had finished we returned to the residential unit. We walked along Manor Street and we crossed over City Road and we turned right onto onto Temple Street and we returned to the residential unit. We went upstairs and back into his room. Later on Matthew chilled out in his room. He watched television and used his computer. Matthew had a bath and then had toast for supper. He then chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Today Matthew was in the residential unit and he was going out on the bus. Matthew got up around 08:00 and had toast for breakfast. before Matthew went to the day centre he watched buses out of the window. Matthew went downstairs and went to the main lounge. he watched buses out of the window. whilst waiting for the time to go to the Longton. We saw First Potteries 63347 on a #11 to Newcastle. Transport for the trip was Shelton Care Group NX13 XDH. We got on the bus and we sat down. We set off onto Temple Street. We turned right onto Christchurch Street and right onto Station Bridge Road and we ran forwards onto Heron Street. We went through the traffic lights and forwards onto Blurton and at the roundabout we joined the Eastbound A50. We ran through Longton and we turned left onto Baths Road and into the retail park. We set off on foot to the bus stop. We went to Tesco and we brought some new headphones. We walked past the Interchange and onto The Strand and we entered the shopping precinct and we stopped at Poundland. We came out of the shopping centre and we went the card Factory. Afterwards we walked down. We came out of the market and we crossed over Market Street and we saw First Potteries 67154 on a #6A to Blythe Bridge.

We continued onto the shopping centre and When we had finished we continued through the precinct and across the car park to Wilko. We went into the Bennett Precinct and we srop at The Coffee House for dinner. Matthew had a Sausage Egg McMuffin washed down with a can of Coke. We continued into the Precnt and around the corner to Select. Once we had finished shopping we walked out the Bennett Precinct and onto Market Street and we went into the tropical fish shop. We had a look at the fish before going back and at the roundabout we turned right onto Baths Road and we turned left into the Pheonix Retail Park. We returned to Fenton in Shelton Care Group NX13 XDH. We got on the bus and we set off out of the retail park onto Baths Road. We turned left under the railway bridge and we headed along King Street through Foley and into Fenton. We ran forwards onto City Road and we turned left onto Glebedale Road and we turned right onto Baker Street we saw past the former day centre. We turned left onto Christchurch Street and we turned right onto Masterson Street and we saw Z Carz WU67 UJC. We turned right onto Watkin Street and we continued onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. We went upstairs to his room and we put all his shopping in his cupboard or in the kitchen. Matthew had a glass of fruit smoothies pineapple. Matthew and he spent time in his room watching buses. We saw First Potteries 63361 on a #11 to Hanley. Matthew returned to his room to chill out. We went downstairs to the car and we set off onto Temple Street and we turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto City Road. We ran down the hill into Stoke and we joined the A52. We ran under the railway line and we crossed over the A500. We ran into Stoke town centre and around the one-way system. We turned left onto London Road and we ran through the West End to Oakhill. We ran past the former Oak Tree pub and into Trent Vale. We turned right onto the A34 and we stopped at the pub. Matthew had Sausage, egg beans and chips with bacon and 2 oatcakes washed down with a glass of Coke. for dessert Matthew had toffee sponge pudding and custard. Whilst we ate highlights of the passing buses included D&G Bus 503 on a #101 to Stafford.

We got in the car and we set off onto the A34. We turned left onto London Road and we ran through Oak Hill and the the West End before running into Stoke Town centre and Campbell Place and onto the one way system. We followed the one-way system to the left onto Church Street and we veered left onto Liverpool Road. We veered right onto Elanora street and we followed the road to the right onto Copeland Street. We ran forwards onto Glebe Street and we followed the one way-system onto Church Street. We crossed over the A500 and we ran forwards onto City Road. We went under the railway line and we ran up City Road into Fenton. We turned right onto Smithpool Road and left onto Temple Street and back to the residential unit. Matthew went upstairs and to his room to chill out. He watched television and used his computer. Later on he had a bath. After his bath he had some toast for supper. He chilled out in his room until bedtime around 23:00... Mark
